AMA about PBNs (setup, footprints, things to avoid, et al.)

suppose i am in the pet niche and targeting keywords with KD of less than 30, how many pbn links would i need to see some positive results ?

Hard to say, as it highly depends on the power of the PBNs and the specific keywords.
In general, Pets is usually pretty a competitive niche.

A good start would always be 5-10 PBN links, monitor your rankings, scale from there. Make sure to have some diversity in your link profile (link insertions, guest posts, HARO, guestographics, citations, et al.)

Will PBNs become useless in future ?

Hi,
1. Regarding OBL, if you let OBL=1, which means you only point to a money website, will it be unsafe? Many people suggest that every PBN website should point to several authoritative websites, so as to be natural. I want this OLB>1
2. Some of the domain names I obtained through auctions are placed on namebright.com. Is it recommended to transfer these domain names to godaddy, name.com, namecheap.com and other domain name hosting providers?
thanks

Auctions domains on Namebright has Dropcatch as registrar and whois protection does not hides your country and city.

I also use a private nameservice to reduce the footprint, is this okay? Or is it necessary to migrate these domain names to godaddy, namecheap.

I think you need to migrate, if you have decent number of domains there.
Because of registrar and not hidden country and city.

If the PBN placed on namebright.com has already made a link to the money website, is it okay to migrate to godaddy? Or is it too late?

At least not in the near future. Down the road: Probably? When it comes we need to adapt (as always).

1. OBL = 1 is mostly referring to links to your money site(s). You can add outgoing links to authority sources, sure. You can nofollow them or not - that's up to you. Just don't overdo it.

On the pages that have the most link equity, I'd definitely try to keep OBL = 1 (if possible). Be that the homepage or a powerful inner page.

2. Yes, move them out of the dropcatch registrar into Dynadot, Name, Namesilo or similar.

Not a big problem. You can still move it.

where do you point the pbn links? to the homepage of your money site or to specific posts you want to rank?

I just want to clarify your points regarding t2 links?

is the t2 links directly to the pbn or did you use buffer sites like web2.0??

Can i just use web2.0 and some foundation links as t2 links?

how about gsa ser spam as t2 links? your advice would be very much appreciated

I wouldn't use GSA or anything automated as t2 (not anymore).

Web 2.0s won't hurt and they are free, but they don't pack a lot of link power.

Ideally, the link profile is already strong.

Personally, we only rely on custom filtered sape and low cost niche edits and low cost guest posts for our t2 links. These complement the link profiles of already strong domains perfectly without leaving any footprints.

I have another question about PBN:
If my PBN post is not indexed, but the full content of the post is displayed on the homepage. I saw the PBN website in GSC. In addition, when my Dite:Domain.com "keywords in the post", the link shows that the index is normal at GOOGLE.
So it means that even though the PBN post is not indexed, BUT because the homepage quotes all the content and links of the post, it still starts to exert the effect of the PBN website, right?
Doesn't it mean that the effect of PBN can be seen only after the posts are indexed? Right?
thanks

How do you get cheap RDPs for PBNs?

It should index eventually, anway. So I wouldn't worry that much :)

Digital Ocean, Vultr, Linode.

In the past month, mine has published 10 PBN links, but the ranking has not improved significantly.
In this case, do I need to wait for a while to see if there are positive improvements in SERP before publishing the new links? Or continue to publish the PBN link?

Sorry, missed your post.

A month is not a lot of time. Give it a few more weeks.

Having said that, what are the key metrics of those 10 PBNs? Hard to give an opinion without having a glance at the hard data of those domains.
