They work quite well. The algorithm still lacks behind. Not sure when it'll catch up. German is such a complex and weird language, that it's probably quite hard to navigate for big G. Even Google Translate sucks ass when it comes to English <-> German translations.

I wouldn't use translated content, though. Just use german anchors + english content. It works fine. You just have to be a bit creative with the anchor placement. Let's say you want to include the anchor "Rasenmäher" (Lawn mower), then you could use use phrases like:

"... these are the best lawn mowers, or as the Germans would like to say "Rasenmäher", around!"
"Lawnmowers by Bosch are usually a good choice (Source: Rasenmäher - on xyz.de)."
etc. pp.

Thanks for all the great information.

I have a question about expired domains. Lets say I find a domain with a good link profile that just expired. But when I check wayback machine it shows the domain hasn't had content in over 2 years. Is this an issue? Is the domain still useful or should it have content right up until it expired?

What does "no content" mean? A blank page? If the linkk profile is good, it should be fine. Wouldn't worry about it too much.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah so in my example it hasn't had any entries on wayback machine since 2018. Probably the webserver wasn't there anymore or the dns was incorrect.

Does google really not devalue these links after the site was offline for some period of time?

How does it compare to buying an auctioned domain? And if you look for auctioned domains do you look for domains that still have a website on them or is parked domain fine as well?

Wayback can be spotty sometimes. Just because there are not captures, doesn't mean that the domain is bad. If it's not too expensive and the links are really good, i'd say go for it.

Regarding auction domains: Both are fine. And it's usually pretty rare to find one that still has a website. Most will have parked pages.
 
How many blogs did you "messed" up - or maybe which failures did you experience - until you get your process/business running :) ?

That's a good question.

When we first started to get into PBNs, we lost quite a few decent expired domains as we relied heavily on subpar hosting solutions and missed obvious footprints that were shared among the sites and servers. Deindexation rates were pretty bad back then (8%+). It was a very disappointing experience. Fortunately for us, we learned quite fast from our mistakes and completely switched our approach to hosting AND creating our PBNs.

Do u spread register all domains in different registrars? or just one?

When u gain one domain, do you set up the website, post content, and insert links straight away??
or have to wait some time to insert the link? then how long should wait?

I apologize if you’ve answered this already, but in your experience does using an expired domain in a completely different niche still move the needle, as long as the content surrounding the link is relevant to the site you’re linking out to? I know the odds of the domain passing a manual review would be slimmer, but let’s assume that the PBN I’m building wouldn’t pass a manual review anyway.

Yes, it does. Thematic relevance of the expired domain is cool and definitely great if you can get it, but it's not a must-have.

yeah, I read through that post and got my answer to many questions.
However, where is "when you should publish posts and insert anchor link?" seems not there..

For another, if the domain is new, can u use all PBN backlinks? or have to add some other types of links, before add PBN links?

We like to keep our PBNs in idle for a while. Having said that, it's not a problem to add the link once the PBN is fully indexed.

Diversify. PBNs are great but we always complement our profiles with guest posts, link insertions, editorial mentions, HARO, citations, branded properties (web 2.0s, social profiles etc.), a few crowd links here and there.
 
When building PBNs, do you need to use a vpn or proxy so G doesn't see that you are doing it from the same IP address?

I'm having a hard time understanding what / why / when to use proxies. I've searched the web and I still don't understand fully - do you mind giving a rundown?

When you are doing blog comments for link diversity on your money site, do you link back to your MS home page or page you want to rank for?

In other words, is link diversity across the domain or page specific?

Vultr has a cloud instance for only $2.50/mo, but it doesn't come with an IPv4, and has an IPv6 by default. Do you think that would work just as well?
 
One more question (thank you for the help!)

When looking at PBNs, do the root domain % matter?

For example, if you have two PBN domains, one with a stronger backlink profile but root domain % of 50% or a slightly weaker backlink profile but root domain % is 80, which is better?

My guess is the 80% because you do not have to recreate all the URLs (assuming that if the URLs are gone, then the link juice stops)

*also assuming there is not just one strong URL you can recreate, but rather a bunch of one-offs
 
How are you hiding footrpints when registering domains? Are you registering in your name then transferring to a fake profile account to hide footprints or do you register in the fake name and use virtual/prepaid debit card for payment?
 
Why do you pay for IP Block Lists? Wouldnt it make more sense just to block the IPs which are attacking you rather than a list of IPs which are often for just VPNs or TOR?
 
What would be the cheapest way to host say 10 or 20 domains?

I know you need different hosting, name registrar etc. so it would be quite costly...

I'm thinking whether it would be worth it or not.
