Hopefully somebody can pass along some encouragement and guidance here.

I built an Adsense site almost a month ago (28 days). I just started really trying to push it in the last few weeks. So far, here's what I've done.

    1. Built a Squidoo page with 3 backlinks and pinged it.
    2. Added approximately 15 links on "do-follow" blogs
    3. set-up a campaign in Linkjuicer
    4. bookmarked the site on social bookmarking sites
    5. added links from two other hosted blog sites
    6. set-up an RSS feed to the other blogs and the Squidoo page
    7. Submitted an article to GoArticles with the backlink.

Results: when I started Market Samurai listed the site at 460 with no backlinks. Today, according to Market Samurai I'm not in the top 1000 and no backlinks. Other backlink services show 1 backlink.

If I search the url it shows up--along with the url in some of the do-follow blogs but I don't seem to be getting any love.

The site is totally legit with good content that I wrote. Google shows a page count of 50...but NADA.

Any ideas would be HUGELY appreciated. I can see how newbies can become frustrated with the whole process.

    Thanks,

    Chuck

I'm totally frustrated. The site has actual content that I wrote and

Backlinks can take a long time to be recognised. Your plan is what I would call "ultra conservative" - really slow linkbuilding. In the blackhat sphere, it's not enough to get anywhere quickly. Keep going at this rate and you might do better overall, though you will have to wait several months (3-6).

Wait a week or two, then if nothing happens you were probably sandboxed for link building to quick lol.

Takes a lot longer than the timescale you stated. White hat sites take a while but make you money for a longer period. There was another adsense thread around about building sites and developing them over long periods. The OP posted some of his sites had barely any content but ranked really well after 6/12 under some circumstances.

    Code:

Not sure about link juicer? I think that may work with PAD submissions which some people have complained about on this board for not being effective. Dont know enough about PAD / link juicer to have an opinion myself though.

I would be careful with using any link building services for white hat sites. I would also only use adsense on white hat sites.

One tactic is to launch quite a few content light sites then let them age and develop later.

Many domains I have analysed recently seem to rank well based on age alone in some cases as its the one factor you cant manipulate. There is also a theory that adsense sites dont make much cash until they age specifically as G wants to make sure the best ads appear on the best sites.

    Hope this helps

    :)

Link juicer is just awesome. I moved from 15th page to 1st page (7th position) in Google for a decent competitive keyword within 10 days. I dint have to move my finger apart from setting up 2 campaigns. Build some manual link wheel just like how link juicer works and include keywords as anchor text. If you just got indexed last week and you are adding 50 links to your site everyday then you are into trouble. Do it slow but keep doing.

Here are a few points to ponder:

    1) Market Samurai Rank Tracker is On the Fritz - that piece of the software package has been having issues for weeks. It's been "hanging up" all the time on every run I do for any term whether I just do google or google/yahoo/bing. Hangs up if I run top 1000 sites or top 100...no difference.

Today I did a run and after all the hangups it said that the sites were not in the top 1,000 either...and I know they are so it's giving back false data.

I've submitted a ticket (you should do so as well) and they responded that they know about the problem and have developers trying to solve it.

    2) You are growing a site White Hat style (as you are not usin xRummer, PRStorm, SENuke or any of the other more aggressive tools) and that means that you need to think like a farmer...not go out to your field 4 weeks after planting your seed and getting frustrated that there's not bushels of corn ready to be plucked.

I find that my sites will climb to spot 40-60 in the first 7 weeks or so. From there they stay stuck regardless of link building for weeks. At some point between the 8 week mark and the 90 day mark the site "breaks out" if I keep building links and adding at least some content to the site.

Upon "break out" it jumps to page two and will continue to climb to the middle of page one about 10 days later at which point it's a month or so to be in the top 3.

You're gonna have to be patient. You're doing the right things. Adding more link distribution tools like Free Traffic System, Article Marketer, Linkvana and others can help you get more links at a faster rate as well.

If you can afford it, subscribe and use all of these services as much as you can.

Thanks for all the replies. I used Market Samurai for the research. The site is a month old and according to M-S, it's a low-competition area. There are 8-million without quotes and 580,000 with quotes.

I guess the thing that frustrates me the most is that only one link that I've placed in the last 10 days shows up at all--and that was from yesterday.

Independent of Linkjuicer I've posted at least 20 links of my own, placed an article with GOArticles, created a Squidoo lens page, created an RSS feed and pinged them all...and nada.

Right now my site shows two backlinks. If I do a search for the url, http://www.outdoorrugsforyou.com, I get approximately 4 indexed pages.

I guess I'll keep posting backlinks and hope they show up sooner or later.

hold on man can you check please your wordpress installation please ? here is something strange with your domain , I just saw on site:domain like 54 pages indexed already most of them it's =tag pages ... that's not good at all . check your robots.txt and check once more the sitemap plugin , also change the permalink structure on something more '' readable '' highly recommended it's %postname% . Then go to your allinone seo plug and have one more time a look about the options witch you have chosen here ( usually you don't need to index pages like tagpages / category and archive pages ... ) ... then one more time can you post let's say 2 articles , and ping the urls with pingler then go here
    Code:
    http://superbwebtools.com/search-engine-submitter.html
and submit your domain to all those search engines . I saw you have your domain verified on yahoo but not on google ( atleast not on meta verify method ... )
