Unless you're in torrent or other "unethical" download marketing this will not effect you. Ignore it in that case.

So the people who half ass marketing take a small nose dive in the rankings. In this line of work, you need to have multiple sources of income.

Warez sites are still ranking, and torrents are still searchable, the seo for the sites will just change its not "dead". Google is not going to block the sites completely since it will cause people to start using other search engines.

I wouldn't agree with those, i have couple of sites in that kind of niches and they wasn't affected at all, i see other sites in same and similar niches still ranking strong, torrents showing up on lot of terms

same as before, i haven't noticed any change on any of them

I think they are just pretending to clean piracy up to make their image look better without actually doing anything serious.

Two of my popular videos which were ranking for tough keywords were hit. They were both ethical and had nothing to do with torrents or downloads.
