Hi everyone,
I have been a lurker for a while here and need to force myself to actually bite the bullet and get started, so I am going to post a journey to keep myself motivated.

I will be creating a few websites and teaching myself SEO as I progress. I've never made a website before and have zero experience with anything except watching lots of youtube videos.

My goal is to get 3 websites up and running in 3 different niches by the end of the year. I don't expect to make any money this first year and I am using this as a learning experience.

I am interested in AI content writing so I will use some tools to help me on my writing. But I will not solely rely on them and heavily review and edit the output I get. I do also have some monetary constraints and a full time job so I will be relying on some cheaper tools and it will likely be a slow process to get the ball rolling.

Costs so far and tools I will be using:
1. WordHero: $158. I have gone with the appsumo deal as it includes unlimited use, I have also bought the unlimited long form content tool. I chose this app because of the unlimited lifetime use although I know it is not the best AI content writing tool you can purchase. With some adjusting, I do like the test results so far
2. WriterZen: $276. This is an SEO ranking and content workflow tool. Even though my budget is limited, I did buy the full package on appsumo as it is a lifetime deal and includes SERP overview Ahrefs data. I watched a few youtube videos on this app and really liked the layout. They also have an entire course on SEO included in the package that I hope to work through
3. Scrapebox: $67. I bought this in the past, but I will likely use it for some expired domain look-ups during this journey and other misc uses.
4. I have not bought a domain or any hosting, but this will be an anticipated cost.

Plan:

I am just starting this today, so I plan to familiarize myself with some of the tools i bought, I will learn how to look up expired domains and look into finding a good domain and niche to start. I will focus on starting one website at first and will look into more after I have learned and established the website and my workflow. When the website is up and running, I plan on publishing 1-2 articles per day on average. I will work on that for a few months on low competition keywords then I will learn and look into backlinks.

Monetization: No plans for this yet. Will look into affiliate vs adsense/ezoic if it gets to that point.

Questions for forum members if you pop in and want to share your knowledge:

1. What good/affordable webhosting service do you recommend?
2. Do you have any plugin recommendations or theme recommendations for Wordpress?
3. Do you have any recommendations on expired domains vs fresh domains?

Cheers,
ADR

its always good to just get started and try things out.
SEO is all about trying what works for you as there are many theories and nonsense. what works for someone else might not work for you and vice versa.
if you learn about how to setup websites and at least basic server administration, then you are on a good way.
good luck with your project! :)

Good luck on this journey pal ! if you need funnel / website building software you can try PowLeads...comes free with credits too so you can start using it right away and access to a useful course too for free
