Hi BHW Members,
I was creating AHREFs Trial Account and using from a year but recently I found that it's under some updates and either cancelling or downgrading the accounts.

Is it happening only to me or everyone?

Yup people were selling 14 day trail accounts private access for $8-$10. So they decided to get into the competition :eek:

I was creating 14 day-trial-accounts each 2 weeks and it worked perfectly for almost 6 months. Now its over. totally understandeable. But Ahrefs is simply too expensive for most niche site owners (or at least me). I use Ahrefs 2-3 times a week to check some backlinks and changes in serps. Thats not worth $150 a month.
 
I don't know if this is a smart move by Ahrefs, in the long run. Sure, they'll cut out a bunch of people who abuse their system, but I imagine that they will see a massive decrease in the amount of genuine trials now, even though it's only $7.
 
Anyone knows where I can buy ahref trial accounts? I just need the OpenApp rows tbh - but I can't use the my creditcard/email for a bunch of trials. Just to clarify: I want to buy ahref trial accounts, through someone else, where they just deliver me username/password - and pay some amount to this courier. I used to buy on fiverr, but they closed that.

Coincidentally, someone posted the loophole for all the glory of the internet, just two months ago. Those of us who were happily churning out that $179 freebie, had been doing so for years. I even wrote an in depth method, for the guys behind the membership walls. I figured it would be of good use to people who weren't going to broadcast it to the world to see, to try to avoid this exact situation. Oh well.

People were exploiting their trial system for way too long, the result is expected.
 
There's a providers who sell them like 20 tools for 10 and ahrefs for $10.
 
Well yes, its expensive but if you need this on business level its wort. I can't understand why people comply on free products... also ahrefs have I guess a lot of clients and can afford to cut this. Also people who are serious will always get this even without the trial because it simply work.
 
I was planning on opening a group buy type service and Ahrefs stop the free trials ... its a good tool though
 
the only solution for this is to clusterize the groups. Example, for 1 account 5 or 10 people can only use it. Then have to come up with a good system in order not to be banned.

I am talking to my GB provider who uses plugins. He stop selling GB service because his Paypal got banned (use another account, banned after 1 week).
