Is there any way to get ahref API for free without buying the Enterprise plan?

P.S. Let me know if you find anything. I would love to hear that I was wrong and that there are indeed free ways to use the API.

Considering how much that data costs for them to gather, and how much they're selling it for, it's doubtul anyone will be giving it away for free. Apart from the RapidAPI endpoints shared here already (the first one works well btw), a user here was beta testing their Ahrefs API service here: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/beta-testing-ahrefs-based-api-service.1544219/
Might still be accepting testers?

What would the business model be for selling this? How is this profitable?

The majority of marketers won't be able to justify $14,990 a year for the level of Ahrefs account that includes API access, but for those with the need for such a level of service (but not the necessarily the API), API credits could be sold to third parties to try and recoup some capital.

Or you could try and bot the free tools Ahrefs offers.

Not that I heard of. I think there are some offers on RapidAPI that offer a free tier (https://rapidapi.com/ayushsomanime/api/ahrefs-dr-rank-checker/pricing and https://rapidapi.com/Glavier/api/ahrefs1/playground/apiendpoint_b535d225-dfd9-4b62-b1fb-d72e7368aaaf are the ones I found, with 25 or 50 free API calls per month), but if you need it at a larger scale, I didn't find any free solution and I doubt that there is one.
I know about this. But I have seen already some people are using it for free. I Don't know the loophole that's why asking.

If you've seen people using it for free, then it's probably worth asking these people how they're doing it - get the info straight from the source.

They are using the api to develop another tool. But not agree to share the secret recipe.

When it comes to API I would go for dataforseo. They do have a similar strong database, partly even more time relevant - and a credit-based system, not a plan-based. With one exclusion - the backlink API requires $100 credit payment per month. The credits are not lost, if you don't use em and can be used for all endpoints. It's mostly the cheapest high quality service you will find out there (I'm not afffiliated, only customer ;) )

I think people have been sleeping on DataForSEO, it's a great data source. There's an app called SEO Utils that is basically a front-end for the API for those who prefer a GUI.

I have also seen the dataforseo.

But as @Steptoe said, i also think dataseo sleeping.

Thanks for the response, did not realize it was so expensive!
