Hi this is my first post on these forums. I am still learning SEO and best practices for advertising on the net, however i have a question that i have not been able to find out.

The product i am selling is to 18+ people only. I wish to set up a entrance where the customer must click "yes i am 18" or something along those lines.

I want the customer to first see the that webpage with the age verification before he/she ever see's my full website.

This is where i am running into my problem. If i set something up along those lines, i fear that my landing page score will suffer if i advertise on Google ad words.

There are other ways of course i could achieve this (java pop ups that say click here to confirm your 18, or i guess text on the other web pages)

However, I feel it is very important that the customer must first click to confirm he/she is 18 years of age or over. Plus i really don't want a java pop up window lol

How do i achieve a google landing page score with a seperate web page that the customer must go through to verify the age?

Thanks for your help in advance

I will keep this very simple. You can't. If you want a good quality score, you need good (relevant) content on your page. If it just says "click here if you're 18+" then that's not going to be good content ;)

I would load the entire page and block it with a javascript or lightbox thingy. This way they still need to click it, but your entire page loads with relevant content. It might not be the way you like it, but trust me it is the best way.

Also if your website is very "graphic" (nudity) google will automatically flag your ad as adult content and it will only show up for potential visitors that google thinks are adults. So maybe there is no need for the popup. But well I don't know what you're selling ^^

it's not porn ozzke. Thank's for your response! I have thought about a java script popup prompting age verification, however it still is a last resort.
