After what did your site start getting a significant increase in traffic?

Hi! Let's share our experiences. After what did your site start getting a significant increase in traffic?

In my case, the increase in traffic started after editing the keyword occurrence density.
On the screenshot I marked the start date, after which you can see the dynamics of clicks.

I shared some links of my articles on q&a websites and it started getting some traffic. Now I am working for getting ads approved.

Interesting experience, a few years ago I was in the business of posting links on quora and in the best months it brought in over $6,000. Attracted traffic to an affiliate program. I answered the question at length with my affiliate link.
It still works now, though now they moderate more strictly than before:smirk:
 
Can you elaborate on the keyword density part? Did you increase it or decrease it? What exactly did you do?

Initially, all the text on the category pages were written at the rate of 1-2% is about one or two keywords per 100 words. There were some clicks, but based on the screenshot they were not stable.

I was recommended to do a keyword density analysis, namely:
1) Analyze the most relevant competitors for keyword occurrence density.
2) Analyzing competitors for LSI of occurrences.
3) Determining the average number of keywords of all competitors. In my case came out 3-4%, ie 3-4 keywords per 100 words.
After implementing the changes I have seen positive dynamics, I think it works.

Hey mate, could you elaborate more on how you do it?
-> How do you choose the right products that will sell?
-> How do you manage to post the links and not have them taken down?
-> Do you answer new questions or old questions that are already ranking on Google?

Sounds pretty interesting

What tool did you use to analyze that?
 
I got a decent amount of traffic pretty quickly from blackhat links (this was 2015 when that still worked) which allowed me to spend 5+ years optimizing my sites until they started to generate big traffic.

1) I mostly used affiliate programs in the weight loss niche.
2) Placement of the link must be really relevant, or disguised as "diet . help". Typically, administrators do not pay attention to such entries. It is also possible to ask people to go to Telegram or email and there to send him a link.
3) I answered existing questions that are already ranked (usually low-frequency keys) relating to weight loss help.

Cool! In fact, this approach still works, you just need to use better sites, unique near-link texts, as well as comply with the use of anchors in links. So that your site is not penalized by Google.
By the way in the screenshot of the site, which I promoted using black links, but complying with the above rules.

In my case, it was necessary to increase the number of keywords. But again, before you do anything, you need to do an audit of your competitors. So as not to make things worse:eek:

I get the impression that all of Google's advice does not work as it should. All significant changes in the amount of traffic on my sites, occurred through experimentation. Can I say that practical experience is much more valuable than Google's advice?:D

None of their advice works at all. They want to sell you ads. If your SEO is successful, they go broke. Simple as that.

Their webmaster console is designed to entertain amateur SEOs and keep them in the dark for as long as possible.

Those of us who got into SEO early, before they existed, know how much data we used to have. They simply took all the free data down to keep SEOs in the dark.

Forget it and do your own thing, you'll be more successful than going by their shit. If you obey them, you'll be buying ads.

What SEO are you talking about? Google in a year is in the picture. Learn PPC :D

I agree with the do your own thing part. But what about backlinks? How important are they now? I see lots of the bigger sites with thousands of backlinks of all kinds (even spammy ones) and it's as if they all just buy any and all links they can.

Links are the first and most important point, it is not even discussed. But in many niches you can get traffic without links, in highly competitive niches without them there is no way.
