After demonetized, got approved again!

Can you please share how much you made with tunecore and for how many months you that amount
 
UPDATE. Just the other night I got a message from youtube that my channel was de-monetized again LOL. This is the 4th time. I didn't do much since it was re-approved for the 3rd time just a little over a month ago. I only made about 3 or 4 videos since then, all 100% my own content.

It seems that whenever someone manually reviews it....they each have different goal posts and it just keeps moving ....at this point,I don't really care as I was only making about $30 a month but it's all just experimenting and trying stuff that I might like or not like and just figuring out what I might enjoy doing more than others. I will re-apply for monetization again in 30 days and see what they without making any changes to my account.

It happened to me as well one month ago and 3 weeks after being remonetized. I'm gonna reply tomorrow again

Yeah, strange. I'm not sure if it was the particular human reviewer who made that judgment or an AI reviewer, or if one of my new videos did it....they don't tell you specifically. That's the problem with YT. At least tell us specifically what is wrong so we can fix it. It's like telling someone, "your life doesn't live up to our standards, we are cutting you off, but please try again in the next life". So what exactly was the issue? Next time I won't include peanut butter jelly sandwiches in my diet?

Same. I will re-apply every 30 days and see what happens lol.

Stop demonetizing me and then re-accepting me lol. Why are they so inconsistent? My channel is relatively the same....I hardly made any changes this time except turning one video into private.

Same happening to me except I'm demonetized at the moment. What's your niche?

Well tbh I don't really have one. At least on my main channel. I know it's not a good way to build a channel because I'm not focusing on just one particular thing but a wide range of things and you can't build followers that way.

I used to make music videos/movie tributes, and I do a lot of sports related videos, and now these days I just talk a lot in my videos. I used to still make a couple hundred bucks a month for just doing this and thought I could really grow it 3x or 4x if I put more effort and focus into a particular niche that does well for me....but my channel keeps getting demonetized and then re-apply and accepted again, and demonetized and re-accepted LOL....

hi man, I hope ur okay its been so long but I hope u reply, can you please tell me if you're still monetized in 2021, I've never been monetized and only applied once, I'm looking forward to applying your method, I turned my videos private and left some non copyright vids out there
I have 2000 subs and +650k views

Hey! Yes, I am still active and monetized on youtube! In fact, this past month I just made my all time high in revenue thanks to 1 viral video youtube recommended for some reason. It just goes to show all you need is sometimes 1 video to go viral and you can have some good success for the time being.

So yes, that is what I did back then. Instead of deleting the videos, I just put them on private. Later when I got approved again, I went over to all my videos that were previously demonetized and switched the settings to "do not monetize", maybe that helps too.
 
just make some changes to your video with highest views and your latest videos. Tweet them @TeamYoutube and tell them that you made some changes and is ready for review.

Hi! Thanks for your reply, so basically i found this quote online

“Watch hours gained from videos you've set public. Watch hours gained through the following types of video do not count towards the YPP threshold: Private videos. Unlisted videos.” - and i wondered now that i have turned most my videos private im most of likely to lose public watch hours and will not be eligible (keep in mind that on my YouTube Studio, I'm still listed as eligible for monetization, I'm not sure if it's updated or not)
Can you provide further information on the views you still had (aside from private vids) and how they influenced your public watch hours!

In my case, the videos that I turned into private (while having tons of views and hours) wasn't enough to drop me below the 4000 watch hours threshold as I'm way over it anyways. If you have a small channel that has just barely crossed the 4000 hours mark and then you private some videos, it may or may not affect your current status. I'm not 100% sure but I think once you have crossed that threshold and became YPP approved, you're in for good unless you do something else that gets you removed. I don't think turning your videos into private would de-register your from YPP unless they did another manual review. What they were manually reviewing for monetization was just the amount of videos you have that were eligible or not. If you have a lot of videos that end up being "reused content", you can get demonetized. Then when you re-apply, the watch hours may come into effect again. I don't think you'd lose YPP for turning vids into private and losing your watch hours. Those watch hours count for getting you in. You'd only be affected if you got demonetized for too many copyright or reused content.

Back when I first got in, 90% of all my views came from videos that were copyrighted, but since I had well over 1k subs and 4000 watch hours, I was easily in. But that's why I got demonetized 3 times in a span of 2 years or so due to all the videos that needed some fixing. Another thing is this, after I got re-approved the 4th time and have been fine since, I actually changed some of my "private" videos back to public. This time I set the videos for not to monetize and it hasn't been a problem since (over a year now), so I think as long as you don't try to monetize copyrighted/reused content videos, you can still change them back to public later, just make sure you turn off monetization for them.

That is a pretty popular niche, but I'm not sure about how difficult it is to use their clips to make videos. I'm sure they will try to flag and claim copyright or third party content. I think if you did lots of commentary on the events/matches and showed very short clips/highlights of less than 8 seconds per clip, your videos could be fine and you could have a pretty good result. You'll just need to make sure you add enough of your own content/added value and not just reuse their material and play it with some overlay music or effects.

Also, I would highly recommend getting a condenser microphone or lavalier microphone to just give a nice quality to your audio. Good sound audio is very key to attracting and retaining viewers/listeners. Even if the content is very good, if the audio quality is bad, it may adversely affect the performance of the individual video but moreso, the overall reputation/image/brand of your channel.
Best of luck man! It's a popular niche so there's a big market out there and most of all, if it is your passion, then that's a plus. We all want to invest and spend our time working on things we are passionate about and would even do it if we didn't get paid. That's how we can say to ourselves, "I've never worked a day in my life" when referring to your job because you love it so much.

Hi, I've got an answer from the YouTube Team... Unfortunately, I have not been monetized. I decided to do a rebrand and maybe create my own content, I'm really happy to see your reply it's uplifting, thank you for taking the time to answer me! i wish you the best!

last thing I would add: what do you think of cover songs, I'm really a good singer (lol it's weird saying that) but I heard regulations are so complicated and I don't want to put time into it just to be banned or not eligible for monetization because YouTube is a side thing for me ( I don't know maybe to make revenue as I'm studying pharmacy and we're not the best family financially, I'm still 17 and I have 6 more years to graduate lol..) would song covers like do it?


ps. I'm learning to make my own music but I'll have to have an audience first
