Recently google play wrongly suspended one of my apps.
The main reason they gave was the app does not function and it has a critical policy violation
this is complete bullshit because when i first uploaded the app it was approved by human check first time without any issues at all
then after this i updated the store listing and uploaded new app apk versions and again all approved without issues.
the app was live for over a year and amassed many users
So obviously if this app didnt work then it not have been approved in the first place.
But they let it build momentum and a userbase then emailed me suspension notice for no reason
I also sent them countless proof that the app does work but the b@st@rds wont listen and wont reinstate the app.
Now they wont reply to my emails either f'ing t**ts
They advised me while ago to contact the European Commision and use the DSA / DMA. I contacted the ECC and they said the DSA wont be effective till March 2024 the earliest. Great! But they did advise me about using a third party mediator called the CEDR.
So my question is has anyone ever used the CEDR and if so how was it, did you get the desired outcome and do you have any advice?
My concerns about the CEDR are that firstly the charge lot of fees and secondly they tell you that even if they rule in your favour they cant enforce their decision. They can request to Google to reinstate the app but Google doesnt have to comply.... So then whats the bloody point of paying for this mediation!?!?
