Hello Everyone,

I need to put together a business plan for a company I am starting and was wondering about getting some insight from you folks in here.

Do you have forms you use, or a software like Live plan
Code:
https://www.liveplan.com

Im not trying to pay them for a year to use a service I will need for a week tops.

If anyone has a template or something or advice to share I'd be grateful

Thanks so much

Lots of templates online.
https://encrypted.google.com/search?q=business+plan+template

What country are you based in?
Is it for a working plan, open account, VC investment, arrange finance, business loan?
It's a business plan for a digital marketing consultancy based in the united states.

It's going to be mostly an internal document for two co-founders to break down the vision & strategy of the company.

It will also possibly be introduced to investors down the line to explain the what? how? and why?

Finally, it may be used to secure a business loan.

Thanks in advance for your reply. I did use the search engines. But i wanted some insight from someone in here who has worked with a software or templates to get it done.

If you are going to be looking for investments/loans be sure to add in an Executive Summary and 5 year proforma and a resume.

This is not a one week project if you do this correctly.

Projected Financial statements, is where many business plans tend to struggle, in my experience.

Five year forecasted P&L, Balance sheet (very basic one) and cash-flow forecast (crucial!). You can download the XL templates and sex them up!

A particular emphasis on how you plan to utilise any invested capital employed and the forecast payback period, I.e when you plan to be profitable, (year/qtr). Could be useful too.

I'd even go as far as doing a quick SWOT analysis too, but it all depends on the intended readership, I suppose.

10-15 pages maximum, enough to whet appetite, I reckon.

Kudos on the insight. I planned on including a SWOT analysis because I see the importance of it, even though I know some business lacks them.

good tips.

thanks
