    Hi Guys
I have an estate agent and currently in process of swapping to a wordpress theme which I can then use Yoast etc.

What and how would it take to be in the mix with other Estate Agents in my area?

I also have a gaming website and really need some advice on best tricks / ideas to best rank higher than I am.

    Thanks in advance.....

I am also looking for tricks.
Other than that, hard work SEO I am afraid. The game is far from being as easy as it used to be.

That's a very vague question for SEO. SEO is huge, and pretty complex. Here's a few:

    - On-Site SEO
Make sure your on-site SEO is properly optimized. This is crucial to ranking & will save you a lot of money. Make sure not to over-optimize as that will hurt your website.

    - Content on Your Website
Your website must have RICH content, and preferably lots of it. Start a blog, do proper internal linking (many guides online on how to do it) & give value.

    - Internal Linking
Start a blog on the site. Write quality useful articles that your readers will enjoy & benefit from. Also write a few blog posts directly related to your main keywords and link to them via your anchors to build relevancy. There's guides online on internal linking, I'd suggest you start reading.

    - SSL Certificate (https)

    Simply helps (minor).

    - Diversify Your Link Building
I'm not only talking about proper keyword diversity but also web-platform. Build many types of high quality links. Use well researched & written content to build your links.
Build links to your main money keywords, LSI/Long-tails, the URL itself, branded, generics (click here, more, get more information) and etc.

    - PBNs
Before doing these or you can do the simultaneously, build a proper SEO foundation for your website (above). Use a trusted network of HQ PBNs if you're going to be using them. Don't try to look for "cheap" offers. You get what you pay for.

    - Guest Posts
Neil Patel will help you with this one: https://www.quicksprout.com/the-advanced-guide-to-link-building-chapter-10/

This is just the tip of the ice-berg. I highly suggest you spend quite some time reading on SEO as there are a lot of factors that play in.

Gaming is one of the hardest niches to get ranked. Find some high authority gaming sites which allow guest posts and approach them for a backlink with a viral article. Share them on social media platforms to drive traffic to your website.

Hi: for your estate site: no other way better than on-page SEO along with link building activities. For the game site, cool ideas are there - off-page SEO submissions will work indeed super for you.

General advice for the estate agent.

    • Do Local based SEO. Whatever you do not compete nationally for estate agent spots on a search engine for a local estate agent.
    • Get the business address registered in Google.
    • If the local area has local listings sites that are reputable - get on them
    • Don't be afraid of using social media to kick start traffic. Assuming this is a residential Estate Agent then Facebook ads with the correct demographic set up in Power Editor and as little as a 5 dollar boost with the right audience can work wonder. I know I have sold houses and got house rentals for clients on Facebook before now - the trick is in the demographic set up in Power Editor - pressing the "Boost Button" alone will not work.

    SEO Advice

    • For SEO get local links. As an idea use Scrapebox's Yell plugin to scrape a ton of sites in the based on a 50 mile radius of the area you are in. Business sites not competing Estate agents. So consider scraping lawyers, accountants, builders etc.
    • Do a platform check on these sites for those you can comment on or push a link to
    • Get those links either manually (best) or using Scrapebox or GSA or similar

Getting links from random business and personal sites hundreds of miles away won't do you a lot of good in the long run. Since Possum Google understand what "local" is and expect a local SEO presence.

For the gaming site - you are really up against it. It's perhaps the most congested market out there. I would go personality (i.e write in first person - lead the site yourself as a real entity) and also multimedia. Get on Youtube, Twitch, social media. Maybe consider paying a little in PPC costs to these platforms to kick start your presence.
You can get links of course the same way - use Scrapebox to grab gaming site URL's and get some links - but the real win in gaming will probably need to be you - and some killer content promoted correctly/
