Advice for newbie. GSA related question.

Hi everyone!

I am quite new to SEO and learning myself. Guys, I have a few questions related to GSA search engine ranker, hope for your help and experience.

I am doing link-building for my website and testing GSA carefully. So, my incoming stats should be like 30-40 links/day for tier-1, 50 links/day for tier-2 and about 100 links/day for tier-3. Domain age about 2 years.

1. Do tier-2 and tier-3 counts for website as links, or only tier-1 count?

I mean, when we pushing for example 50 links/day for tier 1 and then 100 links/day for tier-2 or tier-3, it all counts for our website? Or tier-2/3 doesn`t count but give just link juice.

1.1 How long should I wait before start tier-2?

I read somewhere, that it`s better to wait few days or weeks before launching tier-2. Is it true? If I start right after, does it hurt somehow?

2. How to understand when my articles ('article manager tab') should be reneview?

This is quite confusing for me. I did search through few forums and it seems like obviously for most users? But I really can`t get, how long should I stick to my articles?

For example, I have 22 high quality manually spinned articles with 40+ spinned titles. And I have 2 campaigns for my website. So, I am using those for my tier-1 and tier-2. Also I am turn on option 'Do not submit same article more than 1 times per account'. And I am using about 10 emails per campaign.

I think my average campaign would be like 1+ month.

2.1 Can you explain this feature 'Do not submit same article more than 1 times per account'? I mean what it does exactly - it deletes article after submitting? Or just don`t use? This helps to avoid dublicated content?

3. How often should I change emails?
I have a bulk of 50 emails. Stats campaign you can look above.

1.1. That only applies to new domains and subdomains. you can blast new page on old domain immediately (so gsa case)

30-40 total shit GSA links a day is terrible. That's what? 1200 links a month and 14K links a year. Do you have 3K+ UVs a day to justify those numbers? Also, bear in mind, these links are total crap. Rather invest in some decent tier 1 links that do not require any tier link building and you will do much better.

Also, try to read information on GSA forum, before you screw your site beyond repair.

Well, firstly I do have traffic. Less than 3UV, but still.
Secondly, I am doing tier-building with strict filters (OBL < 30, PR > +3 and so on). And I have articles with average 1,000+ words. As well as duration on my website for average 2 min.

So, I can`t be so harsh about GSA. It is just a tool. Yet, if you used it with bad experience, it is still experience. Maybe you have some answers for me on requested points.

Doesn't matter what filters you use, those links are crap. With links, the rule of thumb is "you get what you pay for". These are for free and their quality is minimal.

Your velocity is totally off. If that site is new, you should not be building any links at all for the first couple months and even then maybe 10 - 20 a month, not 50 a day.

Also, PR has been dead for 2+ years, the public one that is, so really no idea how you filter stuff based on that.

I am not harsh on GSA, I am harsh on you, because you are planning to screw your site beyond recognition here and you still don't get it.

Make your first links manually, the ones for tier 1, then wait a couple of weeks before using GSA to build subsequent links (tier2 and 3).

but I highly suggest to use unique content, also it should be readable and manually spinning the articles can work too

I have to agree with @Nargil on this. Your focus should be on content and quality links first.

Well, in topic I noticed that my domain is about 2 years.

About velocity you probably right, I just tested tool for few days. So I think I will lower its velocity a bit.

Not really understand what the problem with links, because GSA working with footprints+keyword, not with 'stable' lists like Senuke. Also, you can add search engine yourself by adding footprints.
Average DA I got for links is 60-80.

Also, you can scrape lists yourself with scrapebox and push it on your own. So, whats the problem with links I can`t see?

I mentioned in topic how I am using GSA. I do have manually spinned articles with 1,000+.

Problem is, that you won't rank anything with automated tools nowadays. Maybe if you know exactly what you are doing, go after very easy keywords, but most likely not even then. SEO has become a game for people with budget. Your tier 1 links should be decent, not GSA generated. This approach has not worked for quite some time.

Yeah, you probably right on this one. I am doing some outreach as well. But it`s costly.
Still, its not my case, to sit and wait, so I preffer to carefully action.

30-40 GSA links per day pointing to T2 and T3 used to work over 3/4 years ago. Maybe longer. Can't remember. Then I found it stopped working very well and the manual web 2.0 T1 it was pointing to would disappear off the serps.

I toned it down to between 1-5 links per day and it was golden. T1s were ranking for in top 100 to as low as top 10 for long tail partial match and exact match keywords. Hundreds of manual web 2.0s for T1 boosted with GSA did the trick for me. That was up until maybe spring/summer of 2016? Hasn't worked siince but haven't bothered to test it again because it's not worth it.

These days, if you send that many links per day (especially from GSA), it's likely to kill you off the serps instead of help boost it up.

If you are deadset on using the SER then I published a bunch of tutorials for the tool that maybe helpful to you. That said, I posted this reply to a different thread a few month back that I would advise you read first, IMO mass automation with autogenerated content to low quality sites is now dead. If you have a PBN or bridge network then you can still use SER to post to it to save you time but I do it manually these days.

Moving forward I am putting my focus into manual bridge network boosted stuff with human wrote content while trying a bunch of super low comp zero backlinking keywords in an attempt to stop living in fear of the next Google update .

Edit - I also published this video on ten lessons I have learned from my testing phase that has some points on automation and autogenerated content too.

I've got a site ranked #2 with just GSA blog comments lol. It ranks for a 300ms keyword, but has 300k links. took 4 months of blasting, so I would say GSA still works.

Just need to scrape your own lists. From blog comments i've got like 30 tf20 homepage links because of the default "recent posts" plugin.

I know I've been mostly out of the SEO world for a few years and I know things have slowed down, but if 300k links over 4 months to rank #2 for a keyword with 300 monthly searches is something to be excited about now things have changed more than I realized...

I mean, I guess it "worked" in the sense that you haven't been de-indexed, it was low effort, and you eventually got to the top 3, but this doesn't sound like proof of a real winning strategy to me...
