Adsense Low earnings

Hi,

I'm having problem with my adsense website on wordpress. I'm getting 1100-2200 UV a day, but conversion is around 0,7-1,1%. Is that normal? My website is in my native language: Polish. Site is about health, fitness (healthly food) and about diseases etc. soon. I'm creating good quality articles but not sure about theme.

I wanted to change it but I can find any better. Any ideas? Doesn't it look too simple, unprofessionally? I'm asking because I think it's better to look from outside. Homepage website is simple but I want to keep it like that (something like my strategy - I will add more articles on it soon).

Try new placements.

Try CPA health offers
Try a different ad network

Hows The bounce rate?
Avg Page per Session?

I would focus on building some more traffic, and A/B testing for ad placements/styles.

Bounce rate is too big I think. People just read about what they needed and leave the page.
That's what I'm doing now. More articles and SEO to get more traffic but I thought that I can make those stats better now.

I see message on wordpress.org: This theme hasn’t been updated in over 2 years, so...

I think that changing theme would help a lot but don't see any good.
