ever since the new year adsense has been paying really bad. my RPM dropped 50-70% from DEC. i made good money and then all of a sudden i made shit now nothing really. I'm hoping the companies haven't rolled out their ad campaigns for this year and are still budgeting and getting ready for this new year. Has anyone else felt the blow?

agreed. It just goes down each month for me. I used to make $900 a month but now I'm making like 160 a month.

December is always a GoldMine Month for the publishers. All the Advertisers put their max advertising budgets because of Shopping Season.
So as soon that season get off, all the Advertisers either stop their campaigns or put them on SlowMode resulting a drop in the cpc and publisher's earnings.
For Me Adsense was always a bad option.. Pay in pennies from many years.

you're right they only pay good on certain months throughout the year. If you drive them 30k traffic a day you can make a living form them. 20-30k wld be good.

That's a reasonable explanation, and also one of the reasons I hesitate to use AdSense.
I dislike them ever since they blocked my account two years ago without any valid reason. After several complaints, they restored the account, but it's not worth the risk.
I'v never used chitika but im sure adsesne has better more adertisers on their algorithms and all that good stuff. you just have to really drive them traffic to make good money. some months rpm can sore to 20-30$ depending on advertisers like in the month of dec.

Adsense is the best!!! Period!!! It is normal that in January and February your earnings are lower because every serious company is targeting their campaigns (hoolidays, vacations, etc...) and it is proven that January and February are the worst for advertising because people spend most of their savings etc in November and December... In March things will change... Your earnings will rise again...

How to check which advertisers are paying less??
thanks that makes alot of sense. iv been with them since august, i should wait a full year before second guessing myself.
