Hey everyone, I've been a user here for a long time but haven't really posted. Decided recently to dip my toe in the Adsense arbitrage game, so spun up a site about a month ago and have been wanting to ramp up traffic/revenue.
So far, I'm only bringing in traffic from Facebook and am also buying some traffic from Taboola. My PPC rate from Facebook is insanely low, some of my ads are getting me visitors at $0.02 per click.
Taboola is different, I'm spending about $0.08 per click, so still not too bad, but their traffic seems to be better.
In Adsense, Facebook traffic has a higher CTR but pays out about $0.02-0.03 per ad click, whereas Taboola, with a lower CTR, has much higher CPC's that range anywhere from $0.12-0.30 at the moment.
I know none of those CPC's are "ideal" or "great" but I'm still ramping things up and trying to figure these things out. Why would Taboola's traffic pay out so much more than my legit Facebook traffic?
Also, I was dumb and didn't realize at first that I needed to target keywords for my niche, but with each article I'm posting now, I'm making sure to optimize for a certain keyword in hopes that Adsense CPC's will go up. Here's my question: does my whole site need to target one keyword for optimal SEO/Adsense CPCs, or can I target a different keyword per each article? My niche is entertainment, similar to Bored Panda or Buzz Feed, so articles can touch on a lot of different topics.
Thanks for taking the time to read, looking forward to really seeing if I can make this work.
