Adsense And Prerolls on YT

Just a quick Q.

I have a multitude of YT accounts all in different niches. Some are much more popular than others yet get no pre rolls. Yet it definitely is a niche that there should be a ton of competition for adverts.

Some less popular niches actually have a TON of prerolls.

I understand how the whole adwords system works, however, I am wondering if anyone might have some input as to how I can find ways to get pre rolls on my vids.

Anyone?

From what I've read, high audience retention is key to getting better ads.

Check the audience retention. That might give some insight.

Yeah I am working on a new project, but that would seem kinda off, like I could have a two second video that anyone going on it gets 100% viewing time so it gets the pre rolls?

I don't know, with my other chans, even less popular vids also get them. Although it could just straight up be the whole channel/view time.
