Pligg sites look so dated now and usually end up being spammed with crap.
Your site is only 2 days old but start promoting it and sharing it, maybe add a decent theme.

Well i'm not sure I understand the poll. It doesn't have a verb.
Anyway, PR is outdated (not that it's not effective, but a new site wont acquire any PR unless Google decide to actualize it).
backlinks, blackhat SEO & links exchange are kind of similar.

traffic if or for pligg site? Because that's different.
And GSA is never the solution for T1 backlinking. You need to research a lot I think, SEO is not a simple A + B = C, it's a art, that only few master.

This is what I would do.
Make it a specialty news site focused on just 1 knowledge area.
Moderate your submissions. Don't accept crap.
Put recaptcha on it or something the bots cant get past
What you will end up having is a tightly focused News site that people will want to visit
Promote here and other forums. Create quality link resource not another pile of crap

Pligg sites are basically clones - they were created to be like digg, but now they're more like Reddit.
They get abused so readily, so most of the traffic comes from bots and fake traffic of blackhat submissions tools like autopligg or Xrumer. You won't be able to monetize this traffic with ads since the volume of visits are not from real users. There's some interesting ways you can build value from this if you're creative!
