About Spam Backlink !!!!

I bought and spam expired domain...... but i already reported it that I'm a new owner of that site to Googleweb-Mastertool....... And they said : that site was pure-spam, but that site already resolved .... I just wanna ask you that :do those spam backlink affect (from the old owner) if i put the content on it???? Does google penalize me again or not?????
