Edit -
Even though this thread was closed it raises some important points that I'd like to cover. Unfortunately, we have a small number of members that step over that edge and break our terms of service. We're not that strict - they are summarised perfectly by
@WilhelmScream here
https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/the-three-commandments-of-bhw.950872/
- Don't sell (outside of the marketplace)
- Don't Spam
- Don't be a dick
Where they keep stepping over the line / ignoring the rules then they will be removed for the betterment of the forum. Warnings first - bans second.
My Original post
We have a BlackHat section here
https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/#black-hat-seo.1 forum number #1 - which is where this all began over 14 years ago. I'm now interested what the method is that is too BlackHat for BHW but still totally legal.... I suspect that's the plan here, a little pre-selling
@royserpa
Only joking - to cover your point and correct some popular BHW myths.
A few weeks ago I was going to sell a Blackhat Marketing method here, but
@BassTrackerBoats and
@MisterF said it was a no go, but I would like to suggest a Blackhat Methods section, where real blackhat methods are shared or sold.
Would be nice to be back in the days where one could share really blackhat stuff in blackhatworld
"to be back to the days where one could really share" - we hear that a lot, we're no more restrictive now than we were then. We have a number of rules that we enforce to ensure the forum stays up, but we push back on any number of requests where they are illegitimate. Our objective is to help people have open discussions about ways to make money online, bounce ideas off each other with those equally interested and knowledgeable in their niche, based on the informative posts they have made in the past available in their profiles. Where methods are posted that break these rules we have to take them down, as mentioned above by other members, but this is rare, we've just passed our millionth public thread (more on that later) and over 11 million public posts and still going strong. We're pro-freedom of speech but "Guaranteed Google position 1" style comments phrases should never appear on any sensible thread. That's the sort of thing we keep off the forum.
Back in the day the world of digital marketing was one for the generalists. You could have a number of little text backlinks on a white background, font size 1, build a few backlinks between those sites and rank keywords as you wanted. Some call them PBN's now..., but essentially it's the same theory. Bounce forward to now, you can do the same with voice. Less than 12 months ago (in a very different world) I was speaking with someone very high up in a global mobile telco about exactly how to game the voice system, they know it exists, but they are too resource-light in voice to patch it - at the moment - as it's not revenue dependent enough to put the resource into. However I'd expect this to change with AI and machine learning, fortunately, we're not there yet. But imagine a world where a BHW AI Bot and company ABC Bot's go at it....... Tinfoil hat time.

It's no different to what we were doing back in the day, keyword stuffing and white on white backlinking to rank on the almighty Google. G grew up and so did the methods to get around it. Are they officially BlackHat - what is BlackHat exactly, it means different things to different people.
For me Black hat is about perspective, niche, speed of movement and mental agility. It's the classic until you become enough of a financial burden on a company they are not going to put the resource into patching the issue, as long as it's not illegal and you're within their terms - if you sign an agreement with them.
BHW is still here, still sharing and discussing methods to rank and bank, but instead of it being about a couple of SERPS
it's all this and more.
I mean, I'm not talking about scams, but like techniques to increase your edge on the market.
That should be fine, as long as it complies with the TOS
https://www.blackhatworld.com/help/terms
Nope, I wasn't even allowed to sell on jr vip man.
Ahh you want to sell this method? That should be fine, as long as it complies with the TOS
https://www.blackhatworld.com/help/terms and marketplace rules
https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/bhw-marketplace-rules-and-how-to-post.203/
Mods said I couldn't post even in jr vip
Hahaha that thing with
@Zwielicht it's that we were once just messing around and he decided to add a poll in one of my threads, so it became a tradition when I open threads haha
That should be fine, as long as it complies with the TOS
https://www.blackhatworld.com/help/terms
@Diamond Damien will this be allowed to be shared in bhw 2.0.? The forum is called black hat, i think it's kind weird to block blackhat method.as long it's not scamming. maybe put some vote that show how many member want this.
The forum rules will remain exactly the same in 2.0 - as we don't know exactly what
@royserpa is posting I think it's academic right now. But is should be fine, as long as it complies with the TOS
https://www.blackhatworld.com/help/terms
There's plenty of stuff to talk about, man. IM all around blackhat methods.
Over a million public threads! Sure is plenty to cover. This excludes banned members and internal posts.
Yea, I think BHW has to better themselves to stay as the leading blackhat forum IMHO.
I totally respect btb and mr.F, but it was nothing illegal, but it was a blackhat method they think as non-suitable to bhw.
I think a private, or at least more private than jr vip, could be a great addition to bhw.
We're always trying hard to ensure there is a BHW now and in the future we rely on UGC and we're happy to accept posts as long as they comply with the TOS
https://www.blackhatworld.com/help/terms - hang about seeing a pattern here, always look to the TOS.
1 method could have been marked as not compiant with the law, but the other one was def blackhat and not illegal.
Anyway, would you think about adding a private blackhat methods section?
Kifflom, brother brother!
1 down 1 to read - We have a section in Jr. VIP that you could post this into as long as it complies with the TOS
https://www.blackhatworld.com/help/terms - (yep definitely a pattern forming) if you wanted to keep it private.
Yes, you can sell methods in the Misc section, but not blackhat methods. Im sure BTB and Mr.F do have some nice comments on this
So we're confirming it's a method you want to sell as a service? That should be fine, as long as it complies with the TOS
https://www.blackhatworld.com/help/terms and marketplace rules
https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/bhw-marketplace-rules-and-how-to-post.203/ - what you can't sell is unsubstantiated claims for example "I guarantee position 1 in google in 1 day on any keyword" where you can't deliver it during testing - we cover this in a
marketplace content standards post in more detail
I'm interested in knowing what this method is
Me to - but I think that's the point of this thread.
I can't dude, it's against BHW ToS the method
I'd be interested to know which one it breaks.
Not fishy and not a scam, but I guess mods didn't like it :/
Mods provide a great and valued service keeping the forum clean from spam etc. Content decisions are not down to if a mod likes it or not it's exactly what you state above - if it's against the TOS then we have a reason for putting those rules in. All mods know this and are awesome at moderating based on the rules rather than personal opinions.
I too think that there should be a private members only section where we can freely discuss pure black hat stuff. There are many things that are considered black hat by others but are not allowed in BHW. I have seen many black hat tactics people use to rank their sites which only appear in BHW after a few years.
For example, most p*rn sites use redirect links for ranking. I've found them in 2018 and used it in my sites too. But it became public in BHW only in 2020, that too after someone used these techniques in a marketplace thread. There are other techniques like creating a spammy website with redirects to ads, which are working great even now. We learn about them only when someone creates a marketplace thread titled "Passive sites for $100 per month earnings, starting from $45". The same mods approve these threads and give a positive review. With all these restrictions, we are only lagging behind.
We can't be on the cutting edge of every niche - but I think you'll find the 2 you suggest openly discussed in the forum from way back. For example here is a thread asking questions about redirects from
2008
https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/cloaking-redirects.11946/
Some website redirect tips from 2013
https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/website-redirect-tips.522680/
and 2014
https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/seeking-clarity-on-redirects.703780/
to 2020
https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/how-many-redirects-we-can-use.1219510/ and
https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/indexing-redirects.1202853/ (someone answer this for the BHW brother?).
There and 400+ others were all found seeing search term "redirects". Content like this does mean that people then create services from these ideas - but that's just good business - identify the niche and solve a problem that people need solving.
Search is your friend -
Newbies Guide - how to search BHW
In short the topics you're concerned about restrictions on have been openly discussed in the forum for over 12 years and still are. There is little new coming through in IM at the moment it's just how you use it we're here to discuss exactly that.
to be Honest its good that things like "Methode Selling" is not allowed here lol .. When you check other shady Forums like H***Forums and stuff its flooded with " Earn 100000000$ daily on Autopilot" Methodes and 99.9% of this is pure shit

i dont think any Seriouse Forum want to go this Route ....
We indeed feel this is the case and have
marketplace content standards guidelines which ensure members can be guided on
how to post in the marketplace.
In closing - should we have a "real blackhat methods section"?
I feel this forum is an encyclopedia of just that - methods that worked on specific networks in the past that will now work on others that maybe haven't patched that specific hole. Ways of thinking that drive you to a conclusion. We toe the line and provide clarity with our terms of service
https://www.blackhatworld.com/help/terms - I'd be interested to know which of these terms a non-illegal method breaks so maybe we can make it clearer and more transparent. In closing, we're here as a resource of knowledgeable and driven people to maintain a professional place for all to openly discuss SEO and IM methods.
