Other than affiliate and adsense, what is a profitable way to monetize a newly made site?

You can't easily just monitize a new website unless its already got traffic. You need to figure out how to drive traffic first, then if you can setup monetization.

It really depends on the website type, traffic, niche, etc...
no one can tell, but you can take a quick look at the competitors to found out

You could try with an eBook, and then maybe with affiliate offers.

Its not easy to monetize the website unless it has good traffic, best niche in it. You have to go through all these when you start monetize your website.

Selling own product may be. Make sure the product is not crap.

One of the easiest ways to make money from your blog is to become a freelance writer.
Pay Per Click Advertising with Google AdSense
Google AdSense is one the easiest ways to make extra money as it doesn’t require much effort to set up . The website owner can quickly and simply place ads on the blog or website. Another great thing is that you can still apply to be an AdSense partner even if you have multiple sites.
Selling free space on your site directly to advertisers is also worth a try. This method is more time-consuming, but it maximizes the earnings that you will get from displaying advertisements.
If you have a talent for reviewing or promoting products, you can try affiliate marketing to monetize a website.

The best way to monetize a new website is to start off with your own products.

I know this is kind of a hassle for a lot of people, but if you want to build a brand quickly and establish a high perception of value, this is the way to go.

Also, you end up building an asset that can continue to make you money for a long time to come.

How?

Sell your own products through your own mailing list.

Basically, you set up a free booklet or a collection of blog posts—and to get a copy, people have to sign up for your lists.

Once they’re on your list, you send them updates that share valuable information, but also get them excited about a hot new “premium product” that you launched.

This premium product can cost $50 or $100—it doesn’t matter.

100% of that money is going to you!

Compare that with a typical affiliate program that pays you a percentage.

This is the way to play the game if you want to make a profit early on.

Even if you have very little traffic, you can still make money through this model.
