Tools I have/Budget

  • ------ AMR,

As you mentioned in your tools arsenal AMR, I have gone through the whole thread in quite a blaze.. but didn't see any mention of AMR.. how are you going to use it?
Do you think it is still good enough to show some results? When was the last time you used it successfully and got some results specially after recent google updates.

By the way you are not talking to yourself.. many people are reading this thread, probably not finding enough to comment..

Anyways.... I also love BMWss... nice choice.. :)

Mass article submission in the 3rd tier, but I didn't have to use it because I'm already ranking. Probably might use it on the next site since it's a more competitive niche.

The new website has been SEO optimized. I'm going to do some keyword research tonight for the post I want to write about. I'm not making the mistake and choosing a easy to rank keyword this time because like my first site, I won't get much traffic. :)

Month 1, Day 28

Finished writing the first article. It's about 1.3k words. Tomorrow, I'll edit and publish it. Got some ideas for the next two blog posts already. :) That should drive me some insane traffic and make me some money when I monetize it. I'm going to write a seed article to rank this post for it's keyword and go setup a google alerts. Talk to you guys later.

Can you maybe share with an example how you setup Google Alerts and how you use these alerts to build links?

This is a pretty decent video explaining how it works in a SEO perspective.

#Gotmyfirstsale - Month 2 Day 2

Was bored, so I decided to check my affiliate stats for the blog. So far it made $1.70 yesterday alone! (I think I'll start doing some cookie stuffing because they didn't buy the product I promoted...)

I haven't updated in the past 4 days because I haven't been doing anything project related. My rankings are generally the same. Traffic is generally the same. Nothing to worry about here :P

Currently, I'm planning something moderately big for this niche and I'll type up a detailed post in the next 2-3 weeks. Just have to work out some kinks before I start.

Month 2 Day 10

It's been 8 days since I last updated the thread. (It will be like this for the next 2-4 months) but I'm still working towards the car. I planned out a long term project to achieve, and surpass this goal although I won't share the exact methods, I am going to share the plan...

This has been on my mind for the past year and a half and after reading a post about this, I finally realize that it's the only way I'll be able to make this t for the car, and surpass my goals. A year and a half ago, I was not able to envision this, and I did not have the resources needed to build this type of thing, but as of May 1, after reading the post, I am not going to build a blog network/SEO empire.

This is the plan in a nutshell: http://www.bluehatseo.com/seo-empire-part-1/

Clearly it's outdated, and after I've been doing some research over the past few months, I've created sort of a plan/step by step manual for me to follow. My SEO techniques are solid, and I know for a fact that I won't be penalized by Google. I just needed to scale up my current operation, so the blog network is the way to go.

I'm 3 weeks ahead of my planned schedule (original outlook to get to a point where I like was 5-6 months) Currently I'm creating a content management system, where I can control/update/and automatically interlink all my posts together from one main server. I've already worked out my tracking woes (I'll be using PIWIK and statpress) I still have to create the auto poster/updater, and start building the blogs. I expect to start doing this in about 2-3 months.

I've already worked out my monetization strategy, and already have my escape route planned out, so right now I'm not worried about not being able to keep up the network financially. I won't be updating this thread as much as I would like because I have a lot of work planned out in the near future. I will however, keep you guys updated, so buckle up and prepare for the ride.

PS: I might have some grammatical errors because I didn't proofread this post, so don't hate me for that.

PPS: ALSO...the site made another $1 five days ago. So far it's up $2. 24, meaning that it already has paid 20% of the domain fee. :)

Month 2 Day 20

Holy shit. Just noticed the last time I posted on this thread and I'm shocked to see that I've gotten ALOT of work done the past 10 days. This week the website made $3 and I believe this is because it reached #1 for all the targeted keywords. Hopefully that continues to grow, but I'm not fussing over it because it's still making me passive income.

I managed to code up a web 2.0 content distributor, so I could manage all my web 2.0 blogs in one place. Currently I'm still testing how well it works, but so far it managed to get me those #1 rankings for the website I just told you guys about. I have to make additions to the script because it's a work in progress. I've only managed to get the wordpress.com posting feature added, and I'll keep coding the rest as I create accounts for each web 2.0.

Well, that's all I have to add. Keep watching the thread because I'll have some juicy updates in the upcoming weeks.

I'm watching the thread. It sounds like you chose a too-easy keyword for the first site. It also sounds like you won't make the same mistake again.

Your bot ideas sound really interesting, by the way. Keep it up!

Wow. Almost forgot about this thread, but yes you're right. The website dropped down to #5 position on the first page, and it's making about $1-2 a day from adsense.

I've been busy with some other things lately. (Prepping articles, the network and some offline shenanigans) so I haven't been able to update the thread lately. I did finish the content management system and managed to get auto posting done for 30 web 2.0 networks. Mhmm...maybe I should continue with this thread?

I've always wanted an M5 in that generation, such a sexy car. Good luck and get that car with your IM monies!

Spent a couple hours thinking and finding keywords for a new niche I'm targeting. Niche is not as popular as weight loss, but people are definitely buying products around it.

All the sites in the niche look old fashioned and are outdated, but people are still going, and using it. I managed to get 30 keywords totalling about 300k worth in searches. The most competitive keywords are giving me about 160k searches/monthly and I'm going to rank for them in 4-6 months. I'll rank for micro niche keywords in my inner-pages. I'll monetize by building a list and promoting clickbank offers. Then at the end of the 6 month period, I'll create my own service.

Right now, I'm going to code up a theme for the website and I should be done by the end of the week. I'll update the thread when I'm done.

Did you follow through with any cookie stuffing? I'm working on an Azon site and am thinking about it, but I don't want to get in trouble.

No, I didn't. Instead, I placed the amazon affiliate links in the thumbnail pictures, so when they clicked it, they got my cookie.

Theme is done. Tonight and tomorrow, I'm going to write 10 posts to start up the blog.
