A New Niche...A New BMW

Hey there my fellow blackhatters. So I just got my learners permit today and seeing as it represents the start of my journey to finally driving a car, I thought it would be appropriate for me to start a short term goal suitable for the occasion. My first car.

I like BMW's and this is what I plan to get when I've acquired the needed money in this niche (about $8,000)



I'll be swaping out the rims for black ones and possibly, add a wide body kit.

Game Plan

My main priority is making this fun. (Main reason why I have this goal in the first place) My second reason, is I want to enter a new niche and build some more passive income streams. I'm about $100/day and would love to get past that plateau.

I'll be driving traffic with SEO. The typical rank and spank formula with a twist of list building, product creation, and eCommerce (already found a potential drop shipper right here in my city) Before I get serious in the niche, I do want to test its profitability. I've done some considerable amounts of niche research, and although I'm pretty sure this can be profitable--typical products sell for $1,000 - $5,000--I need raw data before I invest in any more money.

I've already done keyword research and picked out a mid sized micro niche I want to test first. Average affiliate commissions will be around $20-$50 and average product sales will be around ($200-$500). My plan is to hit $50/week in 2 months. Could probably get it faster, but for this project, I'm going to take my time, do my research and plan it out.

On Page SEO Optimization (Day 1)

This ain't content writin'

I got a theme for my review website and made a header image. Now it's time for me to do on page SEO optimization. I would write out what I'm going to do, and how I'm going to do it, but I don't think I could teach it as well as Mr. MadOctopus. I will be using the on page SEO guide here:


I'll go through my entire theme, and complete each step. Should finish it by tomorrow. Will keep you guys updated.

On Page SEO Optimization Cont. (Day 1)

So I'm pretty much done SEO optimizing my website using the post I linked above. Now it's time for me to write some content and start promoting my website (the fun part). Tomorrow I have a lot of work to do on my other projects, but I'll probably write about 2-3 1,000 word posts. (should take me about 3 ish hours.)

I'm tired so this will be my last post for tonight. Will update tomorrow.

Wow, I love that you have set out a real tangible goal, something you really want and are pushing yourself to that all the while trying hard to maintain the fun factor so it isn't just pure work and no play. Kudos to you and I hope you fare well in your journey!

Content Writing (Day 2)

I've been doing SEO for the past 3 years, and with all the knowledge I've built up...I can assure you that a successful SEO campaign is built on high quality, helpful content. Helpful meaning that, it answers what the reader asked for, and it directs them to other resources that might help them in their search. (I'll talk about interlinking later)

I've created something like a content blueprint that I like to follow when I'm writing, and if anyone is up to the challenge, they should replicate. I can tell you from experience, that as long as you have good high quality content on your money pages, you'll have an easy time ranking them. With a solid backlink profile (I'll talk about this later) you will have steady rankings and survive every Google update.

Content Writing Cont. (Day 2 Update)

Just finished writing a 697 word article following my article checklist. (You can download it above). I have to write 3 more review articles, so by the end of the day I should have about 4 pages of content up. I'll probably make each review article 500-600 words. Will keep you guys updated.

UPDATE:

Well this has got me thinking. I just saw a competitor ranking for a long tail buyer keyword, and most of his content is copied straight from Amazon, so I'm thinking to myself that:

I could basically plop highly spun content onto my pages and let it rip. If so, then this drastically cuts down on time spent & money spent creating 100% unique content. I'll test it out with this batch of reviews (3 articles) and let you guys know the results. If it works, then I could just automate/outsource the spinning and probably review about 20 products a day.

Another Update:

I love when I start thinking like a true blackhatter. So I scratched the spinning because I want this to be a long term project. What I'll probably do is start rewriting all the posts on amazon. Sort of like a summary of each review. Then I'll switch out the paragraphs with some of the other rewrites, so it makes sense, is unique, and is cheaply made. I could probably outsource this in the future for about $1-$2 an article (since they're simple rewrites)

For the other content, I'll stick to writing them by hand since they're pretty damn good for bringing in them long tail traffic and list building (I think i forgot to talk about how I'll monetize, so I'll do it later) I've setup a solid interlinking structure that I'm doing manually right now. Eventually, if I have time I plan on creating a plugin that does it for me (or purchase one* i doubt it's on the market*)

Alright, so I'm going back to work. Going to see how long it takes me to rewrite a bunch of reviews and create a new article.

2 Brilliant ideas in less than 10 minutes. I think I'm on a roll Anyways, I know you guys hate WF, but I thought I'd share this post because it's a pretty damn smart way to increase conversions, and get unique content.

Content Writing Cont. (Day 2)

Took a break from work today to clean and eat. The idea I talked about earlier today is going as plan. The page I'm almost done writing passed copyscape with flying colors.

I'm going to finish up this article, then I'll have two left. Tonight I should start building a backlink profile and indexing the website.

Content Writing - Some Thoughts (Day 2)

I've been thinking the past hours of the content I'm writing. I did some simple competition analysis for the long tail keywords I am targeting with this batch of articles, and I'm thinking to myself that I'll have to outsource the reviews if the rewrites are not working.

Anyways. I'm done writing the 3 articles for my website (I planned to do 4, but after seeing the competition for the 3rd, I'll probably have to change up content for that page) My interlink structure is pretty dope, and my on page SEO optimization is pretty damn sexy. I'm doing all this manually for now. Later on, I'll probably develop some plugins to interlink them randomly, etc.

Each week, I'll add about 3-5 posts to the blog. I'll test out different content ideas, so i could see what works, etc. I basically want to keep this entire operation cheap, and at the same time, not sacrifice quality. I'll see if I could get some VA's to write/rewrites posts for me @ $2 a pop.

Now it's time for the funner parts of this meager journey...

Off Page SEO Part 1 - Competition Analysis

Now I'm going to check the 4 keywords I have, and see what the top 10 positions are doing in terms of off-page SEO. I'm pretty much going to copy all their links (or at least try too) and build some extra ones. I've already checked out their content, and I know for a fact that mine is wayy better than what they put out

I'll be using two tools for this:

1) SEO Spyglass
2) Ahrefs.com

After checking out their backlink profile, I'll have a better idea of what I need to do to beat them. I'll make a backlink profile guide for each keyword I'm targeting so all I have to do is just follow it, and rank.

Catching Up - (Day 3)

Today I'll be catching up on some other work I've put off for the past 2 days, so I probably won't have time to work on this project today. If I do anything project related, I'll definitely update the thread.

Back to Work *With a Mini Break* - (Day 3)

Tonight's mini plan

After busting my ass on another project for a good 12 hours, I needed some motivation to get me pumped up for this one. So while I'm scraping for niche related Wordpress blog comments, I'll be watching the movie called "Glengarry Glen Ross." If you want to watch it, just google the movie title + stream.

After I go through scraping these 800 keywords for wordpress blogs to comment on, I'll go scrape some high quality social links (tumblr,blogspost, guest posts, etc.) After I'm done watching this movie, I'll go setup my BuzzBundle to check for niche discussions, so I could get some high quality, fresh backlinks.

Tommorrow's plan
When I wake up in the morning, I'll go comment/post on the articles/discussions Buzzbundle checked for me for about 2 ish hours. Then I'll just go ahead and start spinning a huge seed article (About 5,000-10,000 words) for my high PR web 2.0's/social links.

The seed article should take me about 1-2 weeks to finish spinning article/paragraph/sentence/word level, but after I'm done, I should be able to generate content for about 500-1,000 blogs. I have some web 2.0 software I want to test this out, but if I see a footprint, I'll just have to do all the posting manually. (It sucks, but it saves me a lot of time and $$ in the future)

Off Page SEO Part 2 - Backlink Creation (Day 4)

Woke up about an hour ago. Was just chillin and reading some threads. I have a lot of work to do Buzzbundle wise, so I'll probably scratch last night's plan and just focus on that. Here are some screenshots of how many potential backlinks I've found.

My Buzzbundle so far (about 400 backlinks) Probably going see if I could build about 50-100 today.



Amount of comments so far...and I'm only 9% done. About 60% would be dupes, but I'll still have a good amount after it's 100% done.
