A good message to send to customers asking for refund.

"Yea dawg hit'me with that refund and lemme see them greens go back to my card".

Due to the global issues regarding CoVid-19, we regret to inform you that we are currently experiencing shipping delays due to matters outside of our control. We thank you for your patience & understanding in these difficult times, but rest assured we will get your order delivered as soon as we possibly can.

Only thing I would add to this, as has been mentioned, is some kind of ETA. Something like: "Please allow an additional 3-5 business days for delivery of all orders".

Refunding them means that you'll lose all the money spent on ads. (also what's an HAF thread)
Have you never refunded clients? You'll need to be prepared to refund your clients. You can't avoid them. Refunds are part of any store online or otherwise. You should be prepared to get a % of refunds from your total # of sales.

Don't refund them? People will do Chargebacks and most payment processors actually charge you a fee for every chargeback you get (usually from $20 to $30 p/event) . So if you get a chargeback for a $30 item, your payment processor will take $60 from you and may suspend your account if you get too many Chargebacks. If you're selling on a marketplace you also run the risk of getting a negative review, which you can't erase so you'll have to spend more money to bury that negative review.

Ignoring refund requests is playing with fire in my opinion. Just take the L and move on.

For sure, but only if you are certain that you can meet this extended TAT. My concern here would be having to go back on day 6 to say there's a further delay, which would probably be the final straw.

The delay here is in 1 week or week or (possibly even 2 weeks) and not in 3 to 5 days. Will that still work or I need something more?

"Yo dawg, the packz might be late ya dig? Covid-19 and shieeeet boy"

"Yea dawg hit'me with that refund and lemme see them greens go back to my card".

Ha ha, I should have asked what it is you're selling and who your customer base is.

This is where you say you're selling weed t-shirts and your customers are all drippy hippy pot heads :)

You should give them proffesional explanation, and the Worst ETA.
in case they keep asking for refund, and you cannto reason with them you need to refund them, before it become dispute and Chargeback. well pretty sure most will wait. except it's a critical item that needed ASAP

Why is everyone talking so bad on charge backs ? For Paypal as long as you provide the tracking number and a nice message the dispute will be closed in your favor (no?).

I never used CC processing before, so what's the big deal in getting charge backs with Stripe or Shopify Payments or anoter CC processor ? From what I know it's the same as Paypal, you provide the tracking number and a nice message and you're all set. Am I missing something here ?
