The corporate world gives you better salary, incentives, health insurance and job security. If you earn $60,000 per year and work a couple of years, you are guaranteed a higher salary afterwards. In affiliate marketing you work your ass off for little money and then it gets taken away with a google update. So you start from zero again. Paid traffic with Facebook, Google, Pop Traffic or others is saturated as fuck. Most successful internet marketers have given up on paid traffic so we noobies have no chance. Even an offline business like consulting gives more money and peace of mind.

Software dev is not low pay compared to what CEOs make mate. Look up the average profit a company pulls per year, that's typically what the CEO takes home, I'm sure it's less than a software dev.
