5 Years Later and Still Struggling

Great advice for a shit thread huh!!! ;)

Write down what you WANT to do. And then do what you want. The end.

Love it, thanks....

I can confirm dragon naturally speaking is out there, make sure you install it in controlled environment and double check your AV if your torrenting or anything similar. If you can't find it , Google keyword " nuance dragon naturally speaking" .
A possible idea is to create an affiliate opportunity for your writing services! And reach out to people all over.Hope this helps!

Seems like a very genuine post. I guess others in the thread have probably already said it but this is what I would say, just based on what I know -

Look at all the methods you do or have done, get the best ones in order and strip out everything else - even if there are things you love doing, if they aren't in the top 3 earners or whatever then get rid of them.

Focus all your attention on the best things - but not just working on them also focus on driving down their costs, simplifying and scaling up.

Would on your costs everywhere else as well - when the going is good save more rather than spending.

Other than that, I don't know, you just have to keep going until you get there.

Well I see three approaches to the problem. Two of them apparently have been already addressed - either increase your price, or hire VA-s, programmers, etc to automate your work.

Then there's a third option. I don't know what your hobbies/interests are, but if they at all have the capacity to be useful to someone they have the potential to make money and maybe even build a proper business upon. Once you are able to make somewhat reasonable and stable living (as I see you already can, be it through tedious labor) it is a good time to consider shifting from work you have to do to work you'd love to do.

On a more practice note, how about giving the method from this journey a go-
http://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/my-journey-make-3000-from-scratch-before-august-1st-2016.843437/

Seems pretty good, also inception_ac gives a lot of details on the strategy.

Also, try to think outside of the box - maybe you need to approach things in a different way or something? Because it seems like you have the knowledge and the drive, maybe there is just some part / outlook or whatever you are missing?

Similar for me I was struggling a bit recently even though I was working my arse off and I realised I was too laid back and did not have the business mentality so I was letting a lot of deals go, not charging right amount etc etc, I changed that and everything is going better now - maybe there are things aside from the obvious and direct factors to your income that you can tweak?

WOW! Thanks Davids. That is something I never even considered, and I have 3 Facebook groups already made from a while ago before i left them to ferment. I will definitely give that thread a thorough read. Appreciate the lead, thanxxxxx

Not rude at all, I asked for help and was hoping to get it!

The Amazon affiliate thing. So, I got a few different programs here on BHW. The first one, 123 Affiliate, was about building Blogger sites, writing unique content, linking to AZ products, making 50-100 posts and keep going. The reason I stopped, well, never really stopped, the sites are still out there. Like i said in my original post, some make $5 a day, then a penny a day, then nothing a day, then $10 a day. The niche is really untapped, gets great traffic, but once I hit 100 posts over a 6 month period, it appeared to level off. So I still add a post here an there, but in my eyes, it never grew like the author said it would. I would then just focus on something else thinking it was a bust.

One thing all you JR VPs and higher -ups need to understand, many people here, myself included, learn what we know from this website only. So if I am building AZ sites, I get my information from a program that was recommended here, by posters on this site, and by people on this site who have seen results. When it doesn't work, I don't have the answer. I knew nothing about AZ sites before the program, so I learned what I know from that program and comments on these forums. While many of the higher-ups have crazy experience and can spot warning signs a mile away, I am not sure you see it through our eyes. I only know what I am learning, so if i grab a shit program, I don't have any idea it is shit unless someone says it is shit. If 90% say it works, I try it. If I don't get results and you ask me why I stopped, my answer is basically it failed because I DONT KNOW WHY! I mean, I did what the program says, and that is my only reference point. Not calling out you guys in the know, just saying, you can can spot what is wrong in the blink of an eye. I couldn't spot it because I get my skills from the program I made us of, while you JR VPs have mad skills we wish we could have.

When you say there is no reason it should fail, why shouldn't it fail? It could be she had us use Blogger not WP. It could be she had us use her code to link to AZ, but, I don't have the answer. I know i can write, I know I wrote all unique content, maybe it was the program, maybe it was the niche, I just have no way to tell you why it failed. It definitely was NOT for lack of passion, hard work, commitment, or focus. I build 5 of those sites over a year, and today, lucky if i make $100 a month on all 5. So, to me, that's a fail, and I wander away looking for a new idea......

If I knew AZ affiliate was going to explode after two years, I'd keep at it. But thats the problem. Guys like me are left to kind of figure it out after we read the program and read posts here. Those who see results don't reveal too much, while most crash and burn and say it is trash out of frustration. So I am left to try and determine on my own, does it work and its a guarded secret, or is it shit and no one wants to admit it. I don't mind hard work, just frustrated I keep getting all-in and hitting the wall. Many of the programs I find here, download, and use, get 50/50 reviews, so I have to go all the way to see if it works, and when it doesn't, I honestly could not give you the answer because i do exaclty like the program instructs and have no idea what are the variables that negatively affect the work.

Exactly what I would say. I've been learning Internet Marketing for the past 2 years and is in the same spot as you are now. Like you, I 've been trying to find strategies and methods because I have no idea how to move within this huge market called the Internet. I posted the same on another forum and people told me to stop asking to get spoonfed.

Like you, I read all of these methods and hope that one day I can also post my own, and not just leech on these people who know what they're doing. I believe it takes time and determination. I'm still hoping I could get there.

Just wanted to reach out to everyone who posted advice or sent me a private message with links to programs that will help or opportunities to improve my skills. I have been watching and reading the threads most of you recommended and picked up some real valuable tips in only 24 hours. Since I have the foundation in place, making some changes, outsourcing some of the grunt work, and learning along the way. Thank you ALL!

I've been following this thread since you posted it.
I hope you'll find value in that course I sent you.
Best of luck to you!

Sounds like you're good at/enjoy writing and not very good at SEO, I'd find a new niche with lots of new products coming out for you to review straight away.

My main business is vaping, I set up a blog aswell on it before that I was just planning on using as a satellite site but ended up selling it 3 months ago for a nice price, only sold it and not making more because they've made e cig affiliates illegal in my country.
Was easy, I knew every product coming out from the big 4-5 companies would average around 10k searches per month for the next 12 months. Another 10-15 smaller companies that get 1-2k searches per month and literally a product coming out every day. Picked up lots of traffic just from blog comments on other guys hobby sites who wouldn't even know what SEO meant
Makes SEO a lot easier when you're one of the first with the url/review up.

I'd find a newer niche like that or just any with a lot of new products, wouldn't even worry about monetizing for a while aslong as you know its a niche that can be monetized well at some point.

Hi Guys!

I am highly rated on several writing sites, and I can make $50-$100 a day if I literally kill myself at the desk for 15 hours. Its doable, but it is not sustainable.

I tried website flipping. made a killing in the days when Flippa was letting us sell clone sites for hundreds a piece.

In these five years I have built Amazon affiliate sites, my own affiliate sites, sold on eBay, sold on Amazon, and even sold on Bonanza too. So I find a program that looks like it can sustain, I sink weeks, months, and even years into it, and now 5 years later still barely treading water.

I don't mind reading the programs and putting in the work. I just want to find something that I can commit to 100%, see results, then increase my production and see results improve in a measurable way. I spent years building affiliate sites and funnels, and today some make pennies, some dollars, some nothing, and it is sporadic.

Rant Over! Just hoping some of the guys and girls here at BHF could just nudge me in a direction to where i could commit again and finally see results I can measure. I look at it this way, you work a job for $10 an hour, 40 hours later you know you get $400. You work an extra hour, and extra $10. I want something that will increase as my level of hard work increases, not grow, then level off, then sink, then grow.

I am quoting some sentences from your opening post. Please , don´t get me wrong, but seems you are looking for what everyone wants on the forum. A golden nut that requires maximun 2 hours a day of work and brings in return 100 bucks daily . Sorry , but you have already experience in IM and you already know those golden nuts are hard to find and normally don´t last longer than a few months in the best of the cases. I recently found one of these golden nuts but as soon as it´s dead, I will have to start again from the absolute zero as all I have built over the years does not work nowadays or just make a small profit . I also got burnt out of being the whole day in front of the computer.

Nobody will share here their profitable methods. I believe we all have once in the situation you mention here. And for sure we will be again in that hole, as IM and the internet are always changing. What works today will not work next year. wish we all could find something stable which does not require a lot of work , but I believe this is the hard life of the Internet marketer. That´s whay most people give up. Not everyone can´t work for months without seeing a penny.

The only advice I could give you is keeping on testing new things. There is always light at the end of the tunnel

Good luck ! .

Well I've not read the other replies but here's my view.
You don't take it as a business. 'Internet marketing' is just a piace of a puzzle named "company".
Product, Marketing and Team are the biggest pieces of the puzzle.
You hardly can make a sure way of living just by marketing on the internet, unless you do fund a digital advertising agency.
so y got it all wrong man. Writing articles does not mean anything. It's just writing articles.

Amazon sites is closer to being a biz, IF you treat is as a company.
Really, you demand passive income which only a real registered biz can bring but you miss all the basics. And after you learnt basics of a biz and finance, that'll just be scratching the surface.

For that matter, I suggest you some books:
management by founder of intel
zero to one by peter thiel
cashvertising
smartcuts
kids problem solving

those books are to start off. but keep in mind, you hardly will get 6 figures a year profit before 2-3years from now. That's given you start from today and hustle no stop.

if you want mu humble opinion, as harsh it could seem, imho you'll never own a successful biz. You seem to lack from your post the entreprenurial fire, and I guess you'd already figured it out by yourself all that stuff if it were meant to be. I mean, cmon. Had I to tell you this stuff for real? Looking around you would be enough.

I will certainly look into those books you suggested paizon, thanks!

Just wanted to give those of you who kicked me in the ass, offered help, and pushed me in a new direction some thanks. I decided to take some constructive criticism, one being working SMARTER and not harder, and hired some guys to write some content for one of my niche Amazon sites. I posted the content, about 4 articles, to the site before bed at 2am last night. That site hasn't had an affiliate sale in 3 months, yet this morning, that site had 4 new sales. One person went in through the link and bought $290 worth of stuff netting me around $13 while I was tucked away sleeping. Now that's what I call results and livin' the dream.

Today farming out more work while I refocus my efforts on more rewarding streams rather than skimming the wishing well for pennies.

Thank you all, and I will keep you posted on my goal to reach $150 a day consistently this year...........$13 while I was in my jammies a great start though to my motivation.

From what I read , the main problem you have is just follow instructions , Amazon affiliate or Adsense is still work like normal . But whatever you do, you need to analyse what works and what wouldn't , and have a solid planning to learn and test it out.

And this forum is great , but I think you can try to check other online marketers blog and learn from them . They do provide coaching paid or free , and some offer internship program provided that you do some work for free .

That would be a better way

You seem to have a good supply of constant work, so why not start outsourcing and taking on more clients? That way, you won't directly be trading time for money anymore.
