Very hard to verify this info though. A lot of BTC is very centralized:

Personally I think that sounds really high.. OP do you have a source for that?
 
I think that statistic is a bit high.
That would be 1 in 8 people.
 
Doubt even 4 million americans own btc. Probably around 1 million people who have 6 to 7 btc wallets so they think its different people!
