I am looking for people who currently use expired domain 301 redirects as part of their SEO efforts to answer some questions. Thanks in advance for your time!

1) Do you recreate the sub pages of the expired domain on the new domain, or do you redirect everything to the homepage?

2) How fast will you see results from a high authority site?

3) Do you need to do anything else to get Google to "discover" the redirect?

4) Does Google penalize your site when they find out you are using redirects (in other words, is this purely a 'churn and burn' technique? If so, how long does it take for them to penalize you?

5) In addition to 301 redirects, what other tactics do you find most effective? Personally, I have seen great long-term success using PBN's and very fast short term success using social bookmarking software.

Looking forward to hearing from you all..

1. You don't need to recreate the pages. Just redirect everything.

2. I tried twice but didn't see any results from the redirects. However, others seem to be experiencing the opposite.

3. You don't need to do anything else, although you can tell Google that the expired domain has been redirected via GWT.

4. Don't know how long but they will penalize your site if they eventually find out you redirected an expired domain to your site to manipulate the rankings.

5. PBN posts, guest posts, and tiered linking.
