301 permanent redirect will always work.

Business owner changing their domain name or brand to another is pretty common, for various reasons.

G wanted to save business owner time instead of rebuilding again from scratch.

G has no choice.

People on a Polish SEO forum say one needs to build a topical website on the expired domain first and once it has regained some of its SEO power do the redirect. What do you think, guys?

So the expired domain I acquired is laser targetted to my money site's niche and had only 15 affiliate articles (no into articles)but with great backlink profile. The site was ranking for affiliate keywords in around 2020 back then it was easy to rank for buyer intent keywords without building topical relevance.
Right now, even after resurrecting the old affiliate articles on the site they are still ranking in the 50ish range.
So do you suggest creating topical clusters on the 301 domain too with new articles?

This is very reassuring as very few people report on the positive affects of this trick.
 
We employ 301's sparingly for all our IPTV websites - with purchased/caught domains.
Highly effective, wouldn't worry too much about recreating all past content... just recreate the most important/linkd to ones.
 
I am going to get my first one in this week. 50 DR 300 RD . I habe local seo website and the domain I am buying is in the same niche but internationallly let see how that works.
