301 redirect is still working great

Does the content of the previous website need to be deleted? Or do you post the same articles on the new site, then how do pages from five sites go on one site if some tank pages, or just blogs?

No content was deleted. He reposted the same articles on the new site. These 5 sites were blogs in the same primary niche.
Those articles had been ranking poorly before being merged and they literally skyrocketed on the new domain. I bet it was because of the huge topical relevancy the new domain acquired.

Got it, so we can make a new e-commerce site and redirect five blog domains from the same niche to the new site and the traffic will be huge.

I'm not sure if that works with e-com sites. The guy in the case I wrote about above built one big blog by merging 5 small blogs.

They are essentially the same as a blog, just with more shopping features. I wonder if some companies will do this as the cost of promoting a site like Shopify is huge

How long does its ranking change?
I redirected a premium expired domain name on the 21st of last month. It has been a month now, and the niche site's keyword ranking has not changed.

I don't think the reason why his new site grew drastically was the purchased domains' authority or backlink juice. He grew well because he built a huge topical relevance in a short period of time. Take Petkeen.com as an example, they published dozens, even hundreds of articles every day resulting in an unbelievable growth in an exceptionally short period of time even though pets niche is known as one of the highest competitive ones. The same happened to the site I mentioned in my first comment.
I'm sure you will succeed with (almost) any niche if you publish 500 high-quality well-researched articles in 1 year.
Without backlinks, you're just wasting your time. Check out the IncomeSchool sites, where they teach how to write content without links, and it's all traffic-free.
You mentioned the Petken site as an example, did you know that they use redirects?
It's just that ahrefs doesn't see them, which adds up to over 9K links.

I want to steer back to the original conversation by OP saying how it's such a great idea to do a bunch of 301 redirects. @Nargil said it right it's ok but you need to be careful.
Of course the redirects will work as we've seen from OP but it's clear: this is a churn and burn project. Those 301's will be only good for some time and not a lot. We are back to the same lesson that we always learn in SEO: Spam doesn't work long term. You can do churn and burn and get tons of $$ but then you need to move on and do a new churn and burn project.
To add to this, probably sites like answeregy.com recycle their whole content, do a 301 for answeregy as well to a brand new site. Rinse and repeat until big G figures out what to do against them.
Look now:

Domains weren't freshly expired, they were vacant for a while. Pretty sure one of them was retraded a few times. Don't care.
Not hiding anything from big G either, bc I used them as my registrar lol.
