Better CTR can also be achieved with pure HTML. Also, pure html/css will load faster than wordpress, keep that in mind.

Yea I used to only code in html/css, dynamic websites using Windows based servers... but since Wordpress it's hard to even want to look at that stuff anymore. Having that background at least makes it easy to do little tweaks here and there to the Wordpress themes though.

I like making my landing pages in pure html code of my own, but I'm a huge fan of bootstraps easy to use CSS selectors. Makes everything responsive and beautiful;)

HTML is the best as the page can be loaded very fast . And with HTML you can make a simple landing page that most of the readers want.

you're probably better off just spending a few bucks for a great tool like unbounce. this would be perfect for you to meet your needs for a top landing page editor.
