  1. Put your keyword in the URL
  2. Put your keyword in the title
  3. Keyword appears in Tag Cloud (1 to 3)
  4. Keyword appears in description tag over 2 times
  5. Keyword appears in content
  6. Keyword appears in first and last paragraph
  7. Keyword appears in H1 and H2 tag
  8. Including keyword in outbound Links anchor text
  9. Keyword appears in image file name
  10. Keyword appears in image ALT attribute
  11. 1-2% keyword density
  12. Bold or italic your keywords.
  13. Unique content is the best, avoid articles which have been reproduced repeatedly
  14. At least 30% different compared with other page
  15. 1000 to 2000 words of content, divided article into reasonable paragraph
  16. Post your article regularly, it's better if you can post daily
  17. Each article is related to your main keyword, make your website like a book
  18. Keyword appears in the users comment
  19. acklinks from high PR website
  20. Backlinks from relevant content
  21. Including your keyword in anchor text
  22. Anchor text appears in the content from other website
  23. Related keywords appear around the anchor text
  24. Backlink has existed over 3 months
  25. Not over 100 backlinks from the page where you put your backlink
  26. Backlinks from different IP address
  27. Increasing your backlinks reasonably
  28. Vary your anchor text (Example: Increase Traffic and Generate Traffic)

And if you're going to cut and paste something you found as your own at least get the numbering correct.

Hi, thanks for your comment, I think 6-8% is acceptable. What do you think is the best?

more like 1-2% - even less in some cases. especially if you are using LSI's also, which you should be
 
Keyword stuffing! These are the TIPS from few years back. Google changed there algorithm a lot.
 
I can't say I agree with the keyword density. I personally go for 0.75% - 1% and see good results. Google's recent updates will crush sites being over-optimized like that. Just my opinion.
 
Thanks for the tips OP, although like people mentioned above... anything above 2% keyword density is over optimization
 
Nowaday I go for 1% to .75%

Thers really no point of keyword stuffing anymore since google is really smart to tell what kw ur site is targeting for
 
edu, gov and wiki backlink is must for google ranking , and must search engine submission's

Ive been using 2-4% keyword density on my top spot sites with no issues but have reduced it to 2-3% on new sites non have been effected all seem to be doing well but to play it safe id say no higher then 2%
 
It may be copy pasted but it would be helpful to the newbies,I think, if everything is correct.
 
This is true except the keyword stuffing part which everyone acknowledged doesn't work. Everything else is basically right on!
 
Yeah , You need to be very cautious nowadays regarding the Keyword Density on your webpage. Keyword Stuffing signals bad reputation to google.
1% is agreeable.

Other instructions are good enough !!
