$200 in the first week

Hey guys!

I'm started a website building service since september.

The plan was simple:
Learn to use simple and opensource CMS like : Wordpress,Joomla
Learn to use WooCommerce.

I made a portfolio website ,and i posted my service to bunch of classifieds.

The result was better than excepted.
In the first week my orders was the following:

Simple WooCommerce site for ($40)
A introductory website for ($45)
Again a Simple WooCommerce site for ($80)
and a simple blog($30)


After that , i made a facebook site and adwords campaign.I usually do not like to advertise on facebook,i recommend you guys to not advertise on facebook,i noticed that facebook has false statistics.

Now i trying to develop my connections between the customers and me,i am planning to charge them with a small monthly fee for maintance their websites,or something that.
Of course i have a lot of work to do,even i have some income.The mostly important is that you need to start doing things,and not just imagine them.

I will update this thread,i wish luck everyone who doing his own business!Sorry for my bad English,i hope that everyone will understand me.

Good for you man, nice to see some guys making success right out of the gate.
Make sure you have an excellent website to promote your services on, that is what people are judging you on most.
 
Good luck dude! I was working with offline clients and got burned out, so pumping up my affiliate marketing again.
For new clients, don't over look Linkedin.

I spent $40 on it,and the facebook statistics is a big scam.If you compare what facebook statistics shows,and what the google analytics(or other statistics software) shows you will be surprised.It seems to me that facebook rounds up the statistics.
For example facebook statistics said that 150 people clicked through your ad .But the truth is total of 78 people came from facebook,and the best of all 28 clicked on your ad, the other 50 have clicked on something else, not the ad.
Of course facebook is a big advertising platform,but if you want conversion,i recommend adwords.I hope this helps.

Now i'm working on a special offer for christmas,and i purchased some scripts from envatomarket,there are a lot of good scripts to work with it.
 
Will follow your journey, I plan to do something similar very soon.

I have some questions if you don't mind^^
1. How are you setting the prices? Do you negotiate the price via email conversation (because you post your service on classifieds)?
2. Do you take upfront full payment or do you do the work first and then getting paid?

You have done really well. I always think about these great ideas but stop there. I have to change.

how long did it take you to learn the skills and what did you use to learn? I need to work on my sites right now

income from internet marketing for me is 0. directly proportional to the amount of work I have put in. this is the motivation I need

1. The prices depending on what the client orders.I usualy write an average price,and then i'm negotiate the price via email.The price is calculated from the average work hour i need to finish plus my profit.You need to watch that you can't be too cheap,and can't be too expensive.

2.People usually do not like to pay first.They usually pay in installments.When they see there are a real knowledge they will be returning customers(i also offer website maintance).

Thank you!I recommend you first learn wordpress,joomla,and opencart,and inside wordpress the woocomerce plugin.If you mastered this i recommend a basic php,and css knowledge.There are lot of tutorial videos on youtube,and i have read a lot of ebooks.If they want a big project like a complex website what i can not do myself,i simply outsorce with profit.Best wishes for your work!Motivation is one of the most important things in business!
 
This is a good start BUT let me give you a word of caution for this one. It seems very clear to me that it is a service based business so as you start getting more customers you will need to find a way to delegate it to VAs or try to automate it somehow. Otherwise it will be hard to scale.

Obviously you are just beginning and it is awesome to see you on the upward spiral but just want to put the caution out there so you are rising with that in mind - so it won't surprise you. Also be careful about the terms you agree with your clients by that I mean know exactly WHAT they are paying for and WHAT you will be providing them for that pay anything else extra they would need to pay for so that you won't get requests such as "could you please quickly look at this or that" because if you have 100s of customers and they are all asking you for quick free help your ROI will go down.
