2 Month Old Affiliate Blog Site

So I have this affiliate blog site that I've started up in June. When can I start backlinking? Is it best to wait till it 3 months old for it to receive a PR or should I start backlinking now? I know I should build up the number of links, but how many backlinks should I be sending out a day? I have Content Notifier available that can shoot out 500BLs. Thanks in advance

Why should you wait for 3 months?? You do know that PR passes when OTHER websites pass their links juice, don't you? So, don't expect your "naked" site to get any PR.

Why does the number of links matter? G00gle wont find it all at once anyway. Also, you might want to avoid patterns/footprints.

Not going to comment on Content Notifier, cause I've never used it, nor do I'm interested in using it, AND not exactly sure what it does (can't be bothered to do some research)

I read somewhere that G updates their PRs every 3 months. I wasn't sure it it was best to wait to get the initial PR then work up, or just work up from the beginning before getting the initial PR.

Crappy software. When you said "pings", that's a huge red flag, instantly. You might want to invest some money somewhere else.

Also, I'll emphasize this again. Your site WONT get any PR, or probably just PR n/a AT BEST, which means absolutely NOTHING, if you didn't build high quality, high PR backlinks to it.

Why are you even concerned about your site's PR anyways? Your site's PR is only a tiny bit factor in SERP anyways.

I actually agree with dennis727 PR doens't help your website rank in anyway in serp. even though you have a high PR if you are not ranking in serp then its useless...Create high quality backlinks related to your niche is a much better way to improve in serps...more traffic means more conversion...

Hmm.. for some reason I was under the impression that a higher PR meant it would SERP faster/more efficiently..?

Not necessarily.

If you get links from high PR sites, then it's a different story.

In my experience, as long as you have content in your website, you can start backlinking. I started to have 4 quality original content and started backlinking gradually.. I did manual backlink posts (should be somehow related to the niche) I do social bookmark and web 2.0s and been doing that consistently and ended up my site on page 1.
