That is really unfortunate. I love Bangkok and planned to visit there soon.

I live in the philippines, moved here during...well in the middle of a revolt....Edsa 2. Not so violent but im very familiar with the revolts and violence. Specially during elections. My heart goes out to all those in Bangkok and foreigners still there. Be safe.
Word of advice to foreigners, keep quiet, stay home and keep within your community, they will protect you. God Bless.

Pretty nasty stuff for sure. I sure hope it ends soon.. At least here in Pattaya it's peaceful, as is the BKK Airport but I would hate to have to travel to bangkok right now. I don't think this will last long.

Mow 22 however RedShirts were showing off all the Guns they had
think you will find that the Army wre not the only ones firing guns.
I live here and the reporting above is not totally accurate

Yeah, I'm living in the heart of Bangkok right now in Rachadamri next to Lumpini Park. Pretty crazy, my street is now controlled by the Red Shirts and the police don't even go down my street anymore. About 24 hours a day I hear the Red Shirts protesting and chanting from load speakers.
