So I bought hosting today! Of course, it'll be a couple day before it's live for the internet, but in the mean time, I'll prepare some articles. My niche is computers/eletronics; and I want each article to be around 400-600 words. Since I'm a part of Amazon affiliates, of course links to buy the products will be inserted. Clickbank also has a chance here as well. The potential is endless.
I know I'll need good on-site SEO, so I'll install and use the plug-in and tips this guy recommends: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRoJ3tF_BR8
So, with phase one complete, the next step is to prepare content!

So, I'm well on my way to finishing my first article- a long and large one because I want to attract the Christmas crowd. I'll put it up for constructive criticism from the BHW community once posted.

Well, my website is solidly up and running- at least the part of the base infrastructure. I've finished the main front banner pictures. I'm still trying to finish the first article- I see why people outsource that part. But maybe I'm just tired.
Anyway, I noticed that Amazon often has "discounts" on the products being ordered. I guess other Amazon affiliates could use that to their advertising advantage.
I'm using the virtue theme, so I'm trying to link the stuff my "shop", to the products in Amazon.
Anyway, making a bit of progress. No motivation to keep going like threats to get kicked out your house!

I just got hang of how to add (affiliate) products to the shop, how to categorize, describe, and set the price.
I also just realized how much I could scale this, the potential is MINDBLOWING. At least IMO. This is the first web-site I've maintained and built by myself. So many things I could do. Since I own the hosting and domain, I can do ANYTHING with it. That might be a small thing to those who have been in the game for a while, but, I hope you understand my enthusiasm.
I made quite a bit of progress today.

I've almost got the site fully functioning! It looks presentable, and has plenty of products in the shop. I just need to add content, I.E. the first of many articles. Last few things to do then, is tweak settings, add content, and find traffic!

Tools used: Wordpress and Amazon
Actions Taken: Nothing done today (family issues)
Results: Well, I put 100 products in the store previously, and that appears to have garnered 19 organics visits! No converts yet, but of course, it's way to early for that.
I learned how to sub-categorize the site, and I will add products until I get to around 400. I'll continue tweaking that until I'm satisfied.
I still do know I need to hurry up with the articles posting, but, it's all a laborious process.

I found a source that can deliver all-human traffic (5,000 people), for $2 a pop. Now when I get my site fully operational and as tweaked as I can get it, I'm doing that. Although I have a limited bandwidth plan (20 gbs a month), the real money making month, December, is two months away. So even if this little test doesn't turn out well, I'm ok.

I decided to use my last $5 on a ranking service here on BHW. I discovered a 500 link link-indexing coupon I have, so when my web site is well along, I'll use it. I got 36 site visits today, but still no sales. I'm quite tired, so tomorrow, I will make a video and see about keyword research, backlinks, etc. I don't know enough about that yet.

I've increased my products to about 200 (and counting). I also finished my first blog post, so I'll wait a few days to see how that does. I've got the script done for the video I will make to follow up on it. Still no sales, but again, there's no traffic, so I'll have to fix that. I am getting about 10-20 visitors a day, but that's no traffic.
I learned what backlinks are and how to create them, now, I need to perfect my knowledge in Keyword Research, and enhance it in SEO.
I also need to make sure I have all the legalities and fine print covered.

You WILL succeed. Because you are consistent. Most of the journey threads were abandoned after a few days as the OP lost interest quickly.
