10 or 30 hashtags vs new algorithm

Hi,

I have been using 30 hashtags on the basis that I want to maximise reach and grow my followers, but as with many people my number of likes have halved in the last month or so.
I have heard that you should now be using 10 or under. Is this true? And if so, how long should it take for the algorithm to start 'rewarding' me for this and re-extend my reach?
Ive gone down to 10 for the last 3 days and have just seen a corresponding further reduction in likes!

Nobody can know the answer to when or whether will IG show you love. Regardless 3 days seems like nothing so to speak.

I don't thing the number of hashtags will create a huge difference, it may be a factor but not a big one.

Rather analyze which hashtags you are using, maybe you've stopped using the important ones. Timing, content quality and plenty of things could enter in that analysis (including IG is worse day by day).
 
The algorithm works against you :D
'rewarding' is far away from reality with hashtags...

what's your hashtag strategy?
 
It really depends on the kind of account you have and what kind of strategy you have been using in the past.
If you use 30 hashtags in every post, then not using any in the next post can be a bad idea.

But there are some other factors like the kind of hashtag and the kind of content you upload so I would suggest experimenting as different people have had different results when it comes to hashtags.
