I wouldn't call the traffic worthless, it could rank you high for youtube views, or it could be used as cover traffic to lower your conversions on a cpa offer.

Yep. this method will get your Adsense account banned if you are dumb enough to use one on the same page. You should use a landing page that directs to your main page where your adsense stuff is.

Update..Using this method on 4 accounts is doing wonders for my alexa rank.In 7 days my alexa dropped 13,000,000 down to 4,500,000.I'm thinking about doing 4 more accounts.
True story i kid you not..... Charis Johnson is all i am going to say.... they were all ponzi schemes and eventually i got screwed........:rain:

I'd say skip using Adsense for this, use the free autosurfs to technically run up your visitor totals, so as to hide your BH efforts at getting sales or CPA signups. Use a secondary PC to run a surf program using a non IE browser, to avoid virus/spyware issues.
As for paid surfs, I made thousands off them years ago before the government disrupted the industry. Since everybody basically knows they were pyramids in structure, no one was defrauded, thus there was no 'Ponzi scheme' or intent to defraud anyone. Nor were they 'investments'---that was inaccurate promotional buzz for what was and is a labor or non-investment arrangement (you surf, they pay), not a security.

Wow. There is actually a lot of dissention within this thread. Many say the information is useless, and still others allude to ways this could be used to make some money. I guess I'll contribute .02.
In my opinion those of you saying this information/method is useless are not exceptionally creative. Numerous individuals have clearly articulated ways this could be extremely valuable cover, and even MIGHT actually make some money for you. Let's look at a couple scenarios from my own personal experience over the past year.
1. Made up to $6000/month with torrents, but occassionally lost compensation due to manual cover methods. For those who don't know what that means, it means that some networks determined my cover was coming from a hit generator and proxies. There were months I lost up to $2000 for being discovered. If I had this unique traffic source at that time, that revenue would have been A LOT more secure.
2. Made up to $3000/month with domain parking with traffic generated by youtube videos. While the auto-surf method suggested may not currently work because of youtube requirements on time of view, if it had been applied when I originally used this method, I would have shaved a ton of time off video promotion, allowing the creation of more videos. This could have helped me scale what was working about a year ago. Incidentally, the work I did then still pays - though admittedly not $3000/month.
Of note - This could still work with YT assuming the auto-surf script was slightly modded. It would probably need to adhere to the 10 second rule, and somehow AUTO-PLAY the vids. Hmm....product idea.
The information in this thread IS valuable - period. Adaptation is key, and for those worried about viruses - use some decent protection measures.

I tested it and getting around 100 visits a day. Was it worth the time. NO - NO and NO. It's crap and I would rather spend an hour on cheap AdWords to catch some optins AND boost my visits at the same time. Come one people use your brain. This is just dumb - hate myself for spending time on this shit!

I used to use this methods to gain traffic (from chinesse resources) then suddenly i found myself with a high alexa ranked website but with no real visits coming from my country. Stats started to get fishy as being in america >50% of my users came from asia. Not to mention the bandwith consumption for a traffic that wasn't giving me anything and the nice 99% bounce rate with the average time on site of 15 secs.
I dropped it, don't know if it helped me getting a better serp but i get lots of traffic from my country now, targeted traffic.
My recomendation, use it, but not for too long.

the only thing i have found for this to do to my site is change my alexa ranking some times it goes up and down but that is all i really wanted it to do as no one is really going to look at your site as they are all auto surfing plus they are only on your page for 10 seconds. so i am hopeing by the end of my millon hits that my alexa rank will get better. but cheers for the info thanks given

Yes - autosurf traffic is worthless as far as sales are concerned, because virtually everyone "surfing" is doing as you do - multiple instances, running while asleep or watching TV etc. No eyeballs on your page. Worse, it is extremely untargeted traffic.
As for using it to boost YT views - there are some things to keep in mind:
1. YT tracks how long people view a vid. If your views are only 10 seconds (and your vid is more than 10 seconds long) it will count against the vid.
2. YT tracks how many viewers favorite, comment, rate etc. If your ratios are very low, your vid gets a low "quality score" (they don't publish this, but if you do some testing you will find that your vid won't even make the YT search with "lots of views" but no other user feedback).
I tested Autosurf traffic to a YT vid about 2 years ago. These were the ripoff "paid" autosurfs (where you "invest" and are supposed to get a return - they were ponzi schemes and everyone gets ripped of f in the end). They were also BIG autosurfs, with over 10,000 members each (so lots of "unique" surfers).
I threw 500 views from each of 2 autosurfs at a YT vid that already had about 1000 views. The views came over 2 days. The viewcounter went up a total of 40 views, and I cannot know if those were from the autosurf traffic or from other traffic to the vid.
I had sent other traffic from these two autosurfs to one of my pages, and indeed the hit counters went up, the analytics showed lots of different IP addresses etc. So, the worthless traffic WAS delivered.
So - 1000 views from autosurfs, YT maybe (not clear) credits the vid with about 40 views. When I viewed the vid, the counter went up. So - even back then YT knew about this junk traffic and discounted it, even as far as the viewcounter was concerned. You can do your own tests, but I suspect that you won't be happy with the results either...
Just some thoughts.
And whatever you do - DON'T put money into an Autosurf/Paid to Surf scheme. All will be lost.
