I'm doing some KW research right now and it looks like the keywords I'm searching for are only returning the exact results (i.e. if i search magic trick, i only get the result for magic trick), and not the relevant kw's. Anyone else experiencing this?

The only tool I use for keyword research is the google keyword tool. I would take a domain with hosting, just because it won't feel like a side project. If you pay for something, you'll probably want to put more work into it. If it's free, you're most likely to get lazy or lose focus.

My secondary keyword is where I'm getting most of my clicks from and it's a .80 CPC, and I'm seeing around .4-.6 a click.

are those backlinks comment backlinks, and are they related to your niche or just any ******** link? also, how much traffic are you getting daily?

The majority of the 5k links is from a 1-way PR5 non-relevant site (friends site) pointing to my site. There are probably 500 relevant blog comments, 100 profile links, and ~10 articles pointing to it. Top 3 domains are 3-5years old. Mine is two months. On-site SEO shouldn't be the issue...

my site jumped from nothing to spot 4 for a week, then dropped to 80. One week later it came back to #4 so don't be worried, just keep working and you might come back stronger :)

When you say different hosts, you just mean different web 2.0 sites right? For example, spread it out between hubpages, squidoo, etc. Or do you mean something else?
