Hi everyone,
This is my first post here, so I hope I’m not breaking any forum rules.

I’m pretty new to managing multiple social media accounts, so I’m trying to figure out the most practical way to scale a setup I’m working on.
The goal is fairly simple: use social media to promote my own products and send traffic into my funnels. The problem is that I’m looking at 50+ accounts across different niches, audiences, and sometimes completely different regions.
I’ve spent a lot of time digging through Reddit, XDA, Medium, and various technical forums (including a ton of threads here), but I keep finding conflicting or outdated information. A lot of the discussions are also padded with affiliate content, ads, focused on account farming or obvious AI/bot posts, so it’s hard to tell what actually works in practice.

The approaches I keep seeing are:
  1. VM + Proxy
  2. Cloud Phone + Proxy
  3. Purchased Accounts
  4. Anti-Detect Browser + Proxy
  5. Physical Phones + App Cloning
What I’m trying to figure out is what a realistic setup looks like once you get into the 50+ account range.

A few things I’m particularly unsure about:
  • Roughly how many physical phones would you need for 50 accounts?
  • Can proxies be used normally over Wi-Fi, or is mobile data preferable/required?
  • Is there any real reason to use a custom Android ROM, or is stock Android sufficient?
  • Are anti-detect browsers still useful? I’ve seen very mixed feedback, especially with TikTok, where the actual device seems to play a bigger role.
  • What’s the most practical way to keep accounts isolated from one another?
I’d really like to hear from people who have actually managed a setup like this and can share what worked, what didn’t, and what they’d do differently today.

Any real-world experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

i wouldn't jump straight into buying 50 phones or messing with custom roms. i'd start with a few accounts and see what actually needs a physical phone and what can be managed through a browser. much easier to figure out the costs and problems before scaling everything.

Managing 50+ accounts sounds like a lot to keep track of. I'd first check Meta's rules for managing multiple accounts before investing in phones or proxies. Also, keep proper records of each account and its purpose. That can save a lot of trouble when something gets restricted.

Good question, and starting small is the safest approach here. Before scaling anything, make sure each account has its own strong, unique password, two-factor authentication using an authenticator app where possible, and up-to-date recovery email and phone details that you actually control. That makes recovery much easier if a login check or password reset happens.

Also, keep clear notes on which device and setup belongs to which account, avoid logging into many accounts from the same session in a hurry, and warm up new accounts gradually with normal, platform-compliant activity instead of sudden high-volume actions. Most problems I see come from rushed setup, reused passwords, and missing recovery options, rather than the tool itself. Checking the platform rules for managing business accounts is also worth doing early, so your setup stays within what is allowed.

anti-detect browsers tend to work better for desktop-heavy platforms like Reddit, Facebook or Pinterest. cloud phones work better for Tiktok and Instagram. for proxy, mobile or residential one are usually good. The choice of tools isn't the most important thing. you need to manage these accounts in a completely isolated manner. I always test with a small batch of 5-10 first to see how the accounts holds up before scaling to 50

I think your approach is wrong you should not start with how to manage 50 accounts from the start. Try creating like 3 accounts or 4 first and manage them how you plan to manage the 50 ones. If they are alive after a month just scale them up but dont invest much before you don't have a method that is tested first.

I use personally ad browser (gologin) + proxy, not sure about other ways, but this one works well. One thing can say that for this option pretty hard to find a good proxies...

This is definitely the more intelligent way to go about it for imo. Try out your workflow on just a few accounts, find out what causes problems, and then scale up when everything seems stable and consistent.
