Hello

I'm curious how SaaS founders are approaching SEO these days. With competition increasing and search results changing, is organic traffic still a reliable channel for new products?

What strategies are giving you the best results?

Absolutely, SEO is still worth it for SaaS, but it takes time. I would focus on problem-solving keywords, comparison pages and useful content that targets users already looking for a solution.

Yep absolutely. It's still worth it. I think this is even the best time to build out something really tangible in the market, especially if you understand distribution and know how to distribute your product very well.

A lot of people use AI and build out rubbish but if you take AI development to your advantage, the cost for development can be majorly focused on distribution. People still use a product. People will still want to use a product.

I've seen a lot of AI visibility tools span out in the last 6 to 1 year and a lot of companies and brands still use it even though it's actually cheap to build it out yourself. You can just get data for an SEO API and build out your custom citation tools and all that stuff but a lot of brands have the money and they just want to get things done.

I would say focus more on building something tangible in the market and also make sure you have enough money for distribution

I think SEO is still worth it for SaaS but it takes time in my opinion keywords which should be used for optimization
include problem solving keywords comparison pages and valuable content according to the search intent since SEO will take some time to start working it is wise to combine it with other sources of traffic at the beginning

Yeah, I'd still say it's worth it, just not as a quick win. On a small SaaS site I worked on, most of our early signups didn't come from the homepage at all, they came from a handful of problem-focused blog posts that actually answered the exact question people were Googling. It took a good few months before those pages really started pulling, so I wouldn't rely on SEO alone at launch. If you're patient with it though, that kind of traffic tends to stick around a lot longer than ads.

Depends one the niche tbh. If you're going after keywords every big SaaS is targeting, its gonna be a long game, Find smaller gaps first.

I think long tail keywords are a good starting point for new SaaS websites with low authority.

still worth it imo, just slower than it used to be lol. for a new saas i'd bet on bottom-of-funnel pages first, the broad informational stuff takes forever to move now

If there's utility, the product will thrive
I'd also try to acquire users via Ads

Organic traffic is still something we should be looking at for saas, just don't go out and chase the volume of it. Focus on getting the right kind of traffic in.

I'd start with high intent keywords around the problems the product solves, comparison pages, alternative pages and use case content. Build topical authority around a very focused niche rather than just churning out 30 or 40 generic AI articles.

I'd also be investing in product led content, relevant backlinks and distribution within the communities that the target audience are already in. SEO takes time so I wouldn't put all my eggs in that one basket in the early days.

The key metric isn't just organic sessions. It's how many of those visitors end up as sign ups and how many of those end up as paying customers.

people are still hiring SEOs professionals for thier saas products and taking guest posts or niche edits. SEO is not going anywhere.

Yes bro, SEO saas is supporting your content grow and increase traffic

  • Yes: If you want organic traffic from Google, SEO is important for almost any web-based SaaS or business.
  • No: If you already have a strong social media audience that consistently brings traffic and customers, SEO is not necessarily the main bottleneck, though it can still help.

Yes, I still think SEO works really well for SaaS, provided you have the right content strategy and target the right search intent.

One thing I've seen work well is building out supporting articles around the main service pages. These can help attract long-tail traffic, answer users' questions, and bring more relevant visitors to the website.

It takes time, of course, but SEO can become a valuable long-term traffic source. Good content and a strong topical presence can also help your brand get discovered and potentially cited in Google AI Overviews and other AI search tools.

Certainly, SaaS businesses continue to put their money into SEO, as organic search can drive traffic even after the content gets outdated. The trick is to get links from valuable pages, not just focus on the DR factor.

Hi, I think SEO still works for SaaS, but its definitely not as easy as before. I’d focus on long tail keywords, comparison posts and content that actually answers what people are searching for. Good backlinks help too, but consistency and patience matter most.

It really depends on the niche. If you’re competing for keywords targeted by major SaaS brands, expect a long battle. Start by finding low-competition gaps where smaller sites have a realistic chance to rank.
