Blog Lost Ranking Now Google Impressions Have Been Picking Up

So i have a blog that is almost 3 years year old. It only has 19 post published i started posting August of 2024 to April 2025. I was first excited i started to get impressions (no clicks was just happy i was getting impressions) when i started adding regular post about once a week or once every two or 3 weeks looked like google was showing some love to it.

In December the impressions suddenly stopped but i continued to add post tell around April of 2025 tell i lost interest, and stopped adding post. Last week i was curious and checked the google webmaster console and seen the impressions came back and were better then before. My question is should i start building again and putting money in it? I'm paying a service to write my post and plan to use a service to build links as i do have a full time job that takes it almost all of my time during the week. Just looking for suggestions and opinions. I added a screen shot of what my impressions looked like and this weeks activity that picked up.

I think you should invest more to see the results.

Plus, you can check out which pages are only getting impressions and no clicks, then do some keyword research and optimize those posts accordingly.

Well, you should keep building. Since impressions are back and rising, it means Google still values your site

Keep posting consistently, improve old content, and if you outsource, make sure quality is high before spending on links

the return of impressions after months is a noteworthy point. rather than starting afresh i would approach the website as though it were reviving. i will identiffy what kind of pages or queries brought about the revival, enhance their posts nd develop other related content.

i would look at the average position in conjunction with impressions bcz google could be doing some testting for ur sites for other keywords.if this is true, then there might be a few easy opportunities to capitalize on before spending any money.as u do not have much time it would make sense to start off with just a few posts.

I will check the google search console to see which of the sites have gotten the new clicks and their position on the search engine. there might be some low hanging fruit where some of the posts have done well since the beginning that need to be taken care of first.
 
Yes, resume publishing and building links, but focus on hands-on quality control and topical authority over raw volume since recent Google updates heavily penalize hands-off, automated content.

In all honesty, I think I would hold off on the link purchase and check out GSC to see which pages have impresions. there could be some blog posts that are beginning to generate some movement, so I will work on these and delete any outdated information.

actually, I would analyze first using GSC nd find out which pages are getting impressions now. some articles are already creating impressions without any extra work. optimizing such pages will come first before I think about purchasing backlinks. no point wasting money on the site unless we know how things work.
