[JOURNEY] Adult FORUM from 0 to 100,000 MEMBERS

Well, we can consider this journey as being done. WE HIT 100,000 USERS 2 DAYS AGO!!!

Right now, we're sitting at:
• 104,048 members
• 872,398 posts
• 41,139 threads

I am not going to lie, it was a huge headache. I've ran websites before, but a forum is another job.
Running a community is about fixing, improving and dealing with spam and issues on a daily basis. You fix here, it breaks there.

On top of that, the needs are always increasing. You start with nothing and you reach a point where an image hosting is needed. You do that, switch to a video hosting. Once done, you find out there are some addons you need to custom to fill your needs.
Once done, upgrade the server. Fix the scripts. Develop more.

It's like trying to change the brake pads on a car which is moving.

But things are evolving, and that's good enough.

I don't know if I should update this threads, there is not much interest going on. I expected more questions, but I guess it's not the case.
Do you monetize your image and video script? or is it just forum that you monetize?

wow, this is really a great journey. keep it up, I'm wishing you the best of luck.

Forums are outdated, don't you think? Surprising to see how UGC performs in SERPS, given that Google prioritizes publicly widely available content. Also, have you thought about implementing AI for either posts or upgraded membership feature? This should result in an intresting usecase for the growth of a organic community with adult theming.

EDIT: Have you thought about a demographics study or trargeting, because all forums are generally too widely scattered with the user community.

Forums aren't outdated. When I see how easy Reddit shuts down subreddits or Discords shuts down servers, a forum is still a better option to build a community. You don’t have to follow stupid rules from a platform that will still shut down your community, even after you’ve spent months (if not more) building it, without giving you any explanation. And you can’t even back anything up.

Even though the content is behind a registration page, Google really loves forums :)
