Hi everyone, this is my website that i run in the gambling affiliate niche

Just after it started to kind of pick up , google decided out of nowhere to deindex me for some reason. Content is written with AI help, however it is good quality all articles show as written by human. I did a bunch of social media and web2.0 link building. I never used any shady blackhat tactics link farms and all of that, yet I still got punished. The freelancer I hired ensures me that I should only wait since we are in "google dance"

Did anyone experience something similar recently? How did you guys overcome it? Can you point me please in directions to where I should investigate and how to get back on track?

Thanks to everyone in advance!

What i suggest you to check is :
1. Check if there is any notification regarding manual action.
2. Check if your home page or the page that was ranking is even indexed.
3. If you can, change design/content of the top page that was ranking. Show google that you took it's warning and is working on it. (This step will help you get the rankings back)

Looks like a ranking drop issue common in gambling niche, could be links or recent updates, worth checking link quality & index status

I would first check Google Search Console for indexing or manual action messages. Review your content quality, internal linking, and backlink profile carefully. Sometimes recovery takes time, but improving the website is usually better than waiting alone.

Yes, I have seen some unusual fluctuations recently. A few pages dropped for a short time and then recovered without any major changes on my side. It is hard to know whether it is an algorithm update or normal ranking volatility, so I usually wait a few days before making big changes.

I've noticed some fluctuations on a couple of sites as well, especially over the past few weeks. Before assuming it's an algorithm update, I'd check Search Console for indexing or crawl issues and compare which pages actually lost traffic. Sometimes it's just a few keywords shifting, while other times it's a technical issue. Looking at the data first usually saves a lot of guesswork.

Had rankings for almost 9 years on page 1 for a semi-niche keyword (good volume); 2 weeks ago it dropped to page 3 and I've been scratching my head ever since. Good to know we are not alone but unfortunately nothing we have tried has helped recover it - I genuinely hope it's a blip and it'll recover on its own in a few weeks.
