Such number like DR can be easily manipulated, hence my habit of assessing the link based on its context. the more imprtant aspects are the relevance of the link, traffic, indexing nd placement.

I normally look at three things relevance, traffic and link placement. A good backlink should look natural, not forced.

I think most people are plugging their domains into Ahrefs or SEMrush to see how strong their link quality is, I've also seen people use Majestic as well but those first two seem to be the industry standard

For me, relevance is still the biggest factor. I'd rather get a link from a niche site with real traffic than a high-DR site that's packed with outbound links. Tools help with filtering, but a quick manual review usually tells the real story.

for me assessing the relevance of a backlink is always first nd foremost before considering the metriics associated with it. a rellevant backlink coming from a reputable website from the same industry with engagement is sometimes more valuabble than a high metric backlink from another source alltogether.
