What was the turning point that made your blog start getting real traffic?

Honestly, for me it was consistency more than any single tactic. I didn't have backlinks to lean on early, a social following, or a big budget for promotion. What I did have was a clear sense of positioning and tone worked out before I even started writing, so every post fit together instead of feeling scattered. The real shift in traffic happened once I started going back and improving older posts, not just publishing new ones. Fixing broken links, rewriting weak sections, cleaning up grammar, tightening things up. Search engines seemed to reward that consistency and improvement over time more than any one big move. If I had to rank it, staying consistent came first, going back to strengthen existing content came second, and everything else- backlinks, social, and so on- has come more naturally after that as the site gained some trust. It was slow for a long stretch and then picked up pace pretty noticeably in the last month or so.
The epiphany for me came from recognising the best opportiunities could be found right in search console. Rather than creating new content all the time, i focused on optimising the existing pages that had impressions but lacked any clicks or rankings. this approach worked much better than trying to grow just through increased publisihing frequency.I just want to hear real experiences from bloggers. Was it better content, stronger SEO, backlinks, social media promotion, or something else that finally helped your blog gain consistent traffic.
It came when i decided to treat the articles which have already been published as un finished work. In other words, i would analyses the pages which had impressions but no clicks, optimise their structure, provide more examples, cover the topic better, and the results could be even better than from a new post.I just want to hear real experiences from bloggers.
