From Istanbul to Digital Nomad Life: My $4,550/Month Online Income Journey; Amazon KDP, TPT, Digistore24, SaaS, Gumroad, Mylead

You didn’t reply through a private message, so perhaps you may prefer to explain some parts this way. That is completely up to you, but I will still reply to you here. I don’t mind if others see it.

Yes, in university classes, we used to create the first tables you mentioned for businesses. I understand what you mean. However, will you be willing to enter external data every time? For example, by CSV, screenshot, or manually typing it in? Because it seems like doing this directly through an API will not be possible. I just don’t fully understand this part of the process.

In my own KDP ebook, I explain my work processes and how I choose topics in great detail. But I can briefly explain it for you: I usually choose topics for Amazon US where the number of competitors is under 1,000, and where the BSR ranking of the top 5 books is under 100,000 without ads. Then I create books based on those types of topics.

For some topics, the most recent books were written 15–20 years ago, and if you publish new books in those areas, you may have a better chance of ranking higher. But the fact that one of your native languages is French is a big advantage. I think you can definitely use that.
I just realized I replied publicly instead of in DM I’m still new to BHW and somehow got my account restricted right after.

If you can, send me a DM here again and I’ll reply so we continue our discussion because it’s interesting.

Good luck on your journey. I’ve been following you since your KDP journey began, and your progress is really impressive. You mentioned that you can produce almost one book a day. I don’t know your niches, but even producing a coloring book in a single day is a tough task—how do you manage to do that?

Hi, thanks a lot.

I coded an HTML file myself with Claude. Basically, it works like Canva, but in Canva you have to fill each page with text one by one. That method feels a bit primitive to me.

So instead, I write the text on a single page, and in the program I created, it automatically distributes the text across the pages. This makes the process much easier.

And yes, I think making coloring books is harder, but in general, preparing coloring books is not that profitable.

Also, if you are continuing your KDP journey too, could you write about the topics you struggle with the most? That way, maybe I can come up with some ideas for a SaaS product as well.

To be honest, I can’t really say I’m still doing this. I used to have a store that sold coloring books, but I gave it up after putting together 10 books. Until last February, I was making one or two sales a month, but I haven’t had any sales for the last four or five months, and I’m thinking about switching to a different niche. Do you know how many different stores you can open from the same KDP account? If you're available, I'd like to chat with you via DM

This morning, I created a roadmap and work discipline for myself. I will start following it today:
  1. For Amazon KDP, I aim to publish 1 book every day. With some AI tools, this is not very difficult.
  2. For TPT, I aim to publish 1 product every day.
  3. For Digistore24, I am planning to publish 1 product every week, preferably a high-priced one.
  4. For SaaS, I am still researching ideas. I am using Claude and ChatGPT to explore which industries might have good opportunities. I still do not have a specific idea in mind. The research process may take some time, and since I am a beginner in this area, I want to move forward carefully without making mistakes.
  5. MyLead: I am still researching it. Ad arbitrage through some task websites might work, but I am also looking at alternative CPA sites. I may run some tests this week and share the results with you. First, I want to do a small $5–$10 test and check the profit margins.
  6. This week, I will create YouTube and Instagram accounts for Gumroad. I think they may be useful for promotion. I will also upload the same product there as I do on Digistore24, once a week. This way, I will not need to create a new product from scratch.
I would be especially happy if anyone experienced with SaaS or MyLead could share their thoughts. Thank you.

Today, I decided to determine which things are difficult or easy and set some priorities. Since it is currently the school holiday season, I have completely paused the idea of uploading products to TPT. I will continue doing this next month because the sales volume is already very low.

In general, the topics I am focusing on and continuing every day are the following: I will keep working on these from today until next Sunday.

  1. I will upload one book to Amazon KDP every day. I have been doing this consistently for the last two days, and it does not feel too difficult for me. I also prepare the advertising campaigns quickly while the book is still in the approval process. In addition to Amazon ads for product promotion, I am planning to try email marketing today and next week. I am thinking of sending emails to some associations, and maybe this way I might have a chance to get bulk sales.
  2. I have paused uploading products to TPT for now. I will continue next month because, since it is currently the school holiday season, the volume is really very low.
  3. I will start creating a product for Digistore24 tomorrow. I am planning to create and upload a large bundle by the weekend.
  4. Regarding the SaaS project, I am reading all the resources I can find and watching all the videos. I am thinking of building a monthly subscription website using WordPress and Cloudflare. In other words, I will host the files with Cloudflare. I will define a monthly product download limit for each user. I am trying to understand the basic logic, but I think it is not too difficult. As a product idea, I am thinking of creating a website for teachers, but maybe I can also make something broader. For now, I am not sharing information about exactly which topics I am focusing on or the domain name. Next week, I am planning to try the processes of buying the domain and hosting, uploading the first test product with Cloudflare, and building a basic working structure, even if it is only in the testing stage.
  5. I have not read very positive things about MyLead. Still, maybe there is some potential there. For this reason, I will give it a chance, but I am postponing this test phase to the week of July 13, 2026. It will be a small test of around $5–$10.
  6. In general, I am thinking of creating a YouTube channel, Instagram account, and Twitter/X account explaining Amazon KDP, and I will promote my Gumroad products there. My priority will be to open a YouTube channel and at least upload one video. I am planning to do this next week.
Later, I will connect steps 1, 3, 4, and 6 with each other and do cross-promotions between products, but this is a much later stage. If you have any questions or anything you are curious about, you can always write to me.

(The text in the image is in Turkish. But basically it says I'll be able to use the domain on July 13th.)

I am continuing with all of my previous daily tasks. In addition, I joined a GoDaddy auction and bought a good domain name for $1. I am planning to use it for my SaaS project. It says that I will have the right to use the domain on July 13.

Today or tomorrow, I am thinking about purchasing the GoDaddy WordPress package and doing some tests. I will also review Cloudflare this week.

I believe SaaS projects can have strong profit potential. Of course, I will need some time. However, there are currently two well-known major competitors in this sector, and each of them has around 7 million active users. Because of this, their revenue potential is quite high.

Of course, these are very large competitors, and I will only try to capture a small percentage of their market. My first goal is to get my first customer.

After a two-day break, I am continuing to upload books again. I normally upload a book to Amazon KDP every day. I had some hospital appointments and was busy with them, but I have now returned to this routine. From now on, this interruption will happen only once a month.

At the moment, I am focusing on two main goals: uploading one product to Amazon KDP every day and developing my SaaS product. Since I have almost no coding knowledge, I am getting help from ChatGPT throughout the entire process.

I decided not to purchase the hosting until the date when the domain officially becomes available to me after the auction. I will purchase the hosting on July 14, so I will be able to connect it directly to the domain. Both the domain and hosting will be with GoDaddy.

For now, I will also include a few screenshots for you.

I also started with KDP journey, no sale, but I'm trying my best to get some result
BTW, best of luck on the journeys mate
Thank you very much. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me anytime.

Yes bro
I'm wondering low-content books or content books will work well for KDP ? OR they depend on the quality bro ?
I don’t think you should create any low-content books at all. That was probably my biggest mistake for almost a year. One high-content book can be worth as much as ten low-content books.

That is my opinion, and the financial results are usually similar as well.

I created a TPT account, but it turns out a Hyperwallet account is required; however, I couldn't open one I think a company is needed for that. How did you manage it?

Thank you very much for your kind wishes in both languages.

In my opinion, every topic on Amazon KDP has a different level of saturation. I think it mostly depends on finding niche topics. There are still many opportunities, especially in the European market. There are also many opportunities in niche topics in the US market.

Half of my sales come from English-speaking countries. I don’t know a single word of French, but I created a few books in French, and around 15–20% of my sales come from France.

My personal opinion is that ads are definitely necessary for books in English. Competition is very high in the US, while ad costs are very low in Australia. However, if you create books in European languages, ads are not absolutely necessary, but I still think they are useful. I would recommend them.

Last month, my profit ratio was 172%. Ads have been working well for me.

I think Amazon KDP is a bad option for low-content books or notebooks. However, I also believe that high-content books, together with the development of AI, create many new opportunities and possibilities. Also, my profit ratio is much higher compared to last year, so things are moving in a positive direction for me. My profit ratio is almost twice as high as before.
Would you mind telling me how you always attribute your book author(s) on KDP?
Do you use your real details or you make up personas for them?

I don't remember all the details because I created it a long time ago. My TPT account is linked to my PayPal account. I already have two companies.

You don't have to use your real name. It's entirely up to you. KDP doesn't require you to do that.

Do you create agents to help write your book? If so, how many words can they write? What's the length of your books?

I only use prompts and HTML files. Sometimes I also use Canva, but I don't use anything else. Depending on the book's subject, the page count usually varies, but for me, it averages around 80–90 pages. In terms of word count, it's about 6,500 to 7,000 words in total. I've never actually counted the words before, so I'm just giving an approximate figure.

Hey! Thanks for being so open about your journey and sharing such a solid plan with the community.

Taking a step back to focus on a calmer lifestyle and your health is definitely the right move. Vietnam is an awesome choice to start your digital nomad journey, and having your goals mapped out this clearly means you're already on the right track.

Since you mentioned aiming for a $500 monthly profit with MyLead (perhaps testing ad arbitrage or trial offers), we just wanted to drop by and say that we are keeping our fingers crossed for you!

If you ever need a hand with that whether it's picking the best-converting offers, checking what's working right now, or just navigating the platform, we are completely at your disposal. You can always reach out to our Affiliate Managers directly in your dashboard and they'll be happy to help you hit that goal.

Wishing you the absolute best with your health, your businesses, and the big move in 2027.

Hello, is there a way I can contact you privately through direct messages here? I would like to ask some technical, highly detailed questions that may require lengthy answers. Also, thank you very much for all your kind wishes. That is very thoughtful of you.

I will release an update tomorrow.

I have completed the transfer of the domain I purchased through a GoDaddy auction to my own account. I also purchased a WordPress hosting plan yesterday and connected the domain to the hosting. (Since everything related to this is very difficult for me, it takes me a long time to understand it. However, I am learning and moving forward step by step. It no longer seems impossible. The beginning is just a little difficult, but I can see that I can do it with the help of ChatGPT and Claude.)

With ChatGPT, I have created a roadmap, pricing pages, and many other plans for the SaaS project. I have almost no coding knowledge, but with ChatGPT’s help, I believe I can build it within one month. I will use WordPress and create everything myself.

Basically, it will be a marketplace where users can download PDF products through a monthly subscription. Of course, I cannot share all the details, but I will occasionally share small drafts, designs, and updates with you:

I am also continuing with my other work on Amazon KDP, and I try to upload one product every day. Right now I'm focused on the Amazon KDP and SaaS projects. However, after I get everything sorted out this week, I'll try to dedicate time to other projects as well.
