Have you ever regretted not buying a domain ?

I have had the similar experience. I once skipped a domain because I though it was not worth it at that time and later I saw it was picked and developd into a proper site. Since then I try to register which I liked instead of overthinking it.

I regret not renewing a domain name. It became a premium domain name later.
 
I had the opposite situation. I regretted buying domains that seemed like good domains, but I never actually built projects on them. And now it is very difficult to sell them for a reasonable price. So they have basically become just wasted money.
 
Yes i think many people in SEO have had this experience. Sometimes a domain looks average at the beginning but later the right person builds it into something valuable.
At the same time it is easy to look back and only remember the ones that worked. I try to focus on buying domains that have a clear purpose, good branding potential and a realistic plan instead of just chasing every possible opportunity.
 
Back in the beginning. Of course. I had a lot of domains I let go that became worth a ton during EMD era. Beyond that, not really.
