I suggest you best, most profitable and legal business is making an ecommerce store and sell the product.

With $20k, I'd build digital assets like content sites, lead generation, or an SEO/AdWords-based business. They can scale well and generate recurring income. The adult niche can be profitable too, but it comes with higher risks and compliance challenges.

keep 15k of it and then say you have 5k and ask for suggestions.

15k in the stock market or crypto investments would be much safer then a new business start up. Also after the initial 5k is gone, you can decide to pull from investment. (Possibly make or lose)
 
Use $5-8k to build a micro-SaaS MVP for one boring B2B problem (appointment booking, invoice follow-ups, etc). Another $5k on Google Ads to test it. If it sticks, you've got a real asset. If it flops, you still have $7-10k left to try the next idea. $20k is runway, not investment.
 
Many people suggest you invest this money, but if you’re looking for more stable returns, it’s better not to put everything in at once :) You can start with 50% or even less to learn how investing works first if you’ve never done it before. Or do you prefer to start your own business instead?
 
With $20,000, you have plenty of options for making money online. You could start an e-commerce business, sell digital or physical products, or invest in a blog and monetize it through advertising.
 
One thing I've learned is that having money doesn't actually shorten the learning process. It just gives you more opportunities to make mistakes without running out of resources

I couldn't agree more, it takes work and also time. People are struggling to focus and have issue with consistency, running from one thing to another until they give up and complain nothing works, but actually everything works out at one point if you don't give up..
